Hi Allegra. You make a good point: life is very different today from when your parents were teenagers. Still, many of the challenges of growing up are universal and common to every generation. It may be hard to accept, but here's a thought for you: it's not that your parents don't remember and understand those challenges; it is that they have lived a lot more life than you have, and have gained greater experience, perspective, wisdom, and yes, understanding than they had as teenagers. So what you view as their lack of understanding, is well, really your own. It's not your fault. It's life. You age, you experience, you learn, you grow. You will one day have enough life under your belt to see what your parents see that you cannot yet. Best to you on your journey. :)
