Hello everyone, I'm Jalan and I enjoy building detailed Lego dioramas and creations.
A little bit about me.
I have lived in New Zealand my whole life. Apart from building Lego dioramas, I play the piano. Partly because I wanted to, partly because I needed another subject to fill up my high school timetable. I have been learning the piano for three years in which time I have definitely improved. However much to my piano teachers frustration, I tend to "ignore" the timing of a piece.
During last winter I picked up snowboarding as a hobby and tried to teach myself. I have to say I really enjoyed it even though I'm not much of a sporty person. However, I do enjoy long distance running and sports that do not involve a team. About 5 years ago my family moved to a 7-acre farm, 20 minutes from the nearest city. The goal was to be as self-sufficient as possible. We now grow potatoes and veggies as well as having a decent sized flock of sheep. My dream is to immigrate to Canada, mostly because the ski field down here sucks :D
What I hope to achieve on Steemit.
As I said above I love building Lego creations and dioramas. Last year I started posting my creations on Flickr. This really helped me improve my building. However, Flickr lacks the thing that Steemit offers, the ability for me to make a living out of what I love to do most, which is more than we could ever hope for in life. As I continue to post creations I hope to be able to get the constructive feedback which sets Steemit apart from Youtube or any other social platform.
Some of my creations from 2017
I also hope to try and get more professional lego builders over here on Steemit to try and start a dedicated Lego community here, something which will be fun a challenge.
I'm incredibly excited to now be apart of this growing community and I am proud to grow with it.
Thank you for reading.

Thank you. Everyone has the ability to make beautiful creations. However, it just takes time. For me, it was 10 before I started making anything decent!
Nice lego models. I didn't know you can snowboard in New Zealand.
Thank you, we have limited snowboarding facilities where I live. We have one slope that has a fence between both the beginners and the advanced track.

Hello and welcome, fellow kiwi! (you might like to use the 'kiwi' and 'newzealand' tags where appropriate, too)
Steemit is a great place to be, and I'm sure you'll find a niche of people with common interests soon enough.
For added fun, you could consider joining in on the @steempunknet game played here - it's super easy and we are all a really friendly group. :)
Thanks for the advice. That Steempunknet game looks interesting. I'll be sure to check it out.
Welcome aboard and hello from Connecticut, in the United States. Connecticut is the home of Lego blocks.
Well Lego first started in Billund, Denmark so I don't think that's true but thank you anyway

Wow, you are quite the "Lego artist!! My son is only 7 years old wants to be a Lego Master as his career. I'm fully supportive of his dreams, as long as college education is part of it. LOL
Welcome to Steemit and I wish you all the best here!!
lol thanks :D
Do you make speed builds or stopmotion videos or just builds?
I don't plan to do speed builds or stop motion at this point. However, if people really want it I may look into it.
Your dioramas look fantastic! I hope you will be successful here on Steemit and be able to finance your passion. Brick are expensive, but you may earn some money for few kits. Keep showing us what you make.
Thank you! I certainly will keep posting what I make.
Welcome to steemit! That's great you play piano, you should share some playing, music is always welcome. Your Lego creations look amazing! My son absolutely loves Legos, he's only 8. I think they are great, as long as little pieces are not laying around on the floor, they're not pleasant to step on lol. I wish you luck!
Sorry for not responding earlier. Its great to hear your son loves Lego. I've also had my fair share of stepping on legos over the years lol
Hello, @embers!
Your MOCs are amazing. I look forward to your new creations.
Please follow me and enjoy my lego videos!
I will upload two or three video a month. Have a nice day!
