Hello, world - I'm Nina from Slovenia excited in joining the Steemit family

Today I finally decided that is time for my introduction. Some of you already seen, commented or even upvoted a few of my blogs without even knowing who is behind it.

So getting to a point... My name is Nina and I'm coming from a small village in Slovenia.

I'm sure some of you maybe even heard about Slovenia, but for those who weren't, I can tell you that Slovenia is a state located in the southern Central Europe with approximately 2 million people. Slovenia is bordered by more familiar Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Croatia to the south and Hungary to the southeast.

But enough about Slovenia and more about me, which was the whole point of this blog. :) I successfully finished studying for a mechanical engineer which was a surprise for many of my youth friends. If you are wondering why a young girl like I was decided to study such manly profession I must say, that I'm not so typical. I love repairing things, trying to do something new and most of all I love to learn things that are not just for girls. Mostly so that I can prove myself and others that if you want something you can do it, disregarding all the negative comments.

So I'm very proud that my parents thought me and my two sisters how to do all kinds of things around the house (not just cleaning and cooking and all the other stuff that women supposed to do in eyes of many). Even though when I was young it was hard, because I had to go to bed early, and I couldn't stay out like others or even I couldn't have things like my friends because we couldn't afford it. But now I realized that that was a valuable lesson which in eyes of a teenage girl seems like a catastrophe. But we now know how to look on a life from another perspective, we know how to be independent and most of all how to live with a limited budget. In a time like we live now many of people don't know how to live with less than others around them. They are obsessed with a thought, that a neighbor has better things then they have so they have to spend every little penny on too expensive unnecessary things. But on the other hand bickering about how tough is their life and how low their pay is.

And again I wondered off topic. He he...

Back to the topic - I usually try to avoid pessimistic people just for my sake. I love being in a happy company, I love to laugh and I love to spend time with my family.

As you may read before I'm a proud mother of two little girls called Emma and Mia, which were the inspiration for my Steemit name. They mean everything to me and I wanna make their life good. I want to learn them as much as I can and most of all learn them how to be confident and take care of their self.

I wasn't so confident growing up and I'm still trying to discover who I am as a person and what I'm capable of. For now I will just say I am a girl in early thirties who love to be happy, love reading books, taking photos of nature and animals and super excited to share my thought, my photos of my past and future with amazing Steemit family.
