Hi steemit! My name is Opal.
(Am I doing this right?)
I am about 23 human years old. I think I am part black lab, part miniature pinscher, and I live in New York with two human roomies. I hear steemit is a good source of crypto treats. I don't know what that is but it sounds tasty.
I destroy things that have stuffing like pillows and toys, and I like to pull the little strands out of a rope toy. Sometimes the human gets really mad for some reason... Like when I found this really cool spongy foam thing! 
I love people and squirrels, but not so much cats. I can jump very high. Sometimes I can hit their noses with my nose and they seem very amused by that. I also hear I can run very fast.
I like to play dress up when I can, and have some fun outfits! Here I am a super hero and rescued this rabbit.
After running around like crazy, I like to lie down sometimes.

(edit) I'm back! I think my dad wants to say something: Hi steemit! I'm not as brave as Opal here, and will be hiding behind the scenes. I recently became addicted to the crypto space, and naturally have been led here and I'd like to play around and see how it all works. In case you are curious, I have a small amount of funds I've "gambled" on a few of these tokens, and have holdings in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Neo, Iota, and Byteball. Curious to be part of this particular experiment and the interesting community of steemit, and will see how it goes!
I'm a programmer by trade, with a mathematical background, so probably I might comment on those topics as well. And of course I love my dog Opal and hope to help her post more as well. (Well, her destroying stuff is not so nice!)
