Yes it is! Plus dtube takes a 25% on top of the 25% that is already taken out for curation.

@dlive does both live streaming AND video hosting.

As far as why it is better than youtube, I would say if you are promoting steemit things you should use a steem-connected service to do it :)

Edit: I just noticed you said "if not" as in, connected to steemit. My bad!
