I havent been writing about it but its an interesting topic. Particularly the short term, short sighted financial rewards and churn there is in Senior Management positions. In many companies today its about cutting costs, getting ROE and forgetting about the long term future of the company, the employees and whether the current situation is sustainable. The senior Execs will have their bonuses and be gone before the music stops. I must write about this in more detail.

Unfortunately I think it's pretty endemic across business. Like you say, most of the focus is on short term gain and fixing things quick as opposed to taking a long term, relational and sustainable view point. I think it's fair to say that creating a powerful and sustainable culture requires a minimum of three years before it yields fruit, however, the wealth created is vastly more improved in the long term...
