@salmanrajz, reputation is the number put in bracket after your username. Example, salmanrajz (37) means that your reputation is 37. It grows or increases with the more others engage with your blogs on steemit, through upbotes and comments.
We all started with the same level of reputation (25) on steemit, and it's left for us to grow it.
Great intro :)
There's a formula for reputation which can be found here too! In essence for every time your reputation goes up 10, it gets 9 times harder to go up the next time!
So a score of 35 is 9 times greater than 25, and 45 is 9 times greater than 35.
Reputation 25-35 is usually a couple weeks work, 35-45 will take a month or three and above 45 reputation becomes increasingly difficult to cultivate. Anyone with a reputation over 60 really has dedicated some time to their page and over 70 is a very high score indeed, usually people with lots of active followers and fans!
Great information, so i need to work hard for reputation & reputation make any effect on SP?
They're related concepts, but not always tightly so. Reputation is based of how many people vote on your posts, and while that pays out in SBD which can be converted to steem then SP, you can also earn steem other ways!
Think of reputation just as a popularity score... some people are more popular and less profitable, others are the other way around.
