Hello! I am so happy to be part of the Steemit community!
So many beautiful things over here, I had no idea!
My name is Sonja, I am 24, I live in Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia, but I was born in Krusevac, a small town two hours away from Belgrade.
I am studying for my master degree in Serbian Language and Literature - I have loved reading ever since I was a child so that is why I chose this college. I am really thankful for the opportunity to study more about my language and literature, I met great professors and found many friends on the college so the whole experience of studying and that new student's life were really magnificent!
There are three things I like the most: literature, travel and art! So, I am going to write about these topis here.
I guess that not many people know much about Serbian literature, but in my opinion they are missing something really beautiful in life. I will try to introduce to you some of our famous writers and at the same time I will be trying to find a parallel in world's literature.
My father is an artist so I have read and learned a lot about art. He also collects old furniture and toys and is a great fan of steam punk. Here is just a glimpse of how our house looks like. :-)
Whenever I have time and money I travel. I enjoy discovering different places, cultures, meeting new people and experiencing the specific way of life in each country. I also travel in my home country - Serbia because I believe you should know your country and your heritage in order to understand other.
I hope you will find these topics interesting, I would love to hear your comments/suggestions/ideas and of course I am so happy because I am sure I am going to read more your wonderful posts here!
