BOYCOTT STEEMIT POSTING UNTIL AGGRESSIVE FLAG SYSTEM IS REMOVED!

in #introduceyourself8 years ago (edited)

It's pretty clear that Steemit has a major issue on it's hands that could sink this website in a matter of no time.

I do think Steemit is a great idea and has potential. But it has a lot of work before it becomes a success. A LOT of work. The first issue that immediately needs to be addressed is the flag system. This is a make or break for this website. Mark my words.

When a punk can come on your page and get a friend or 2 to aggressively flag all of your content because it makes them feel empowered, then it hides your posts and pictures, this is a system setup for failure. And you will see the stock continue to drop because people get quickly tired of these flagging fools and stop posting. It's ridiculous! A prime example of one of these complete morons who says he's policing the website is ( @neoxian ). So if flags remain and the site tanks, which is happening right now(crypto-currency market), you can thank him and the the other mega flaggers on my page for their HUGE efforts in being flagging dickheads. Better consider cashing out ASAP!

Simple logic here. Hire or assign moderators to the site that can delete plagiarism and bots AND DUMP THE FLAG SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY! Or else you will have a group of flagging idiots that are full of pride that will sink this ship quickly.

This will be my last post until this major issue is corrected or I will abandon the site altogether. I invite you to join me in hopes we will have an enjoyable Steemit one day.

This is not an #introduceyourself .

My point exactly.

Explain to me how you are introducing yourself in this post? hmm?

This is all original material. You are part of the problem, so thanks for your post.

"Who are you to make the rules? ...etc"
And yes, the blockchain never forgets.
I'm @neoxian, my authority derives from three sources:

  • For whatever reason, the system has deemed to assign me with a reputation of 57, which is relatively good.
  • Many people approve of what I do, I've been paid to flag many times, and as recently as yesterday, plus I often get upvotes for it.
  • I'm a dolphin with strong Steempower.

You are free to tag however you like, and I'm free to flag however I like.

You are a pest in the Steemit community @ezrathecat you have some growing up to do.

But how would you assign moderators in a decentralized system? Having elections like for the witnesses? Would these be moderators for certain 'tags' or 'categories'?

And how many moderators would you need for a single category?

There should be a "report this post" link by the reply/edit where people can report it to moderators.

The question remains: Who would these moderators be? In a decentralized system like steem you can't just 'hire' a moderator.

What kind of bot is that 'Laonie' thing?! (it upvoted my previous comment with various accounts)

They would maybe have to select superusers who have the ability to screen posts. I really don't have all the answers, that's for the creators to figure out. I just know this is HUGE problem with the flag system. I'd like to be part of the solution and dump the flag system so we can enjoy this website instead of part of the problem and flag flag flag. There are too many social media options out there to waste time on a corrupt website that is setup to fail with a flagging system like this. Thanks for reading.

Why don't you stop using inappropriate tags and abusing the system?

Tell that to your flagging fuckup friends who started all this with flag flag flag.
