Hi All,
I know this post is somewhat overdue - I have been on SteemIt a little over a month now - but I figure after spending that time getting know the platform and knowing that I'll likely be around for a while longer yet, it's better late than never.
Another part of the reason beyond my delay, is that I tend to let my online persona do my introducing, so to speak, and i often try to leave details about myself or about my life away from my online activities. On the flip side - I also tend to keep my online activities away from my life.
So about me... to the degree that I'm comfortable to share.... I'm a mid 30's guy that was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia - where I still live today, and have lived my whole life. I'm married and I have a young daughter that is pretty much my motivation to want to try and make the most of this cryptocurrency world.
I work in the technology sector, mostly IT Consulting, though that can take many different shapes and forms from time to time. I have been interested in cryptocurrencies for a few months now, and I shoot myself for not taking an interest earlier - I first invested a very small amount a couple of years ago, and well and truly forgot about it - I guess you could say that the stresses of life had me well and truly distracted. But here I am, and I am enjoying to be honest - It's a whole new world of investing and economic principals in general, and I feel like my skills in technology, and understanding of internet communities in general have me well placed to try and make sense of the mess of what goes on in this world.
Most of my posting is going to be cryptocurrency related, occasionally sport, and from there I might write about other stuff going on in my life, or things that I see or think about that I think are interesting enough to write about. I've managed to gather 90 followers so far which I think is pretty decent for a short time, though who knows how many of them are real or active..
I also try to find good content that people put effort into, and give them an upvote where I can. I know my votes aren't worth much (yet, hopefully), but I do know that every little bit of earnings provides encouragement to people that put effort into posting and not just copy and pasting from some article.
This post has been made in a little bit of a rush as I'm about to get ready to head over to my friend's engagement party.
Anyways Feel free to say hi otherwise I'm sure we'll cross paths through out SteemIt endeavours from time to time.
