I expect Akasha will flunk and fail. Ethereum cannot scale, it cannot handle the volume, it's also harder to secure than the C++ or C written code because Solidity is newer. So I would say Akasha cannot be compared at all to Steemit if you really understand the differences between the highly optimized design of Graphene (like RISC) vs the very general purpose hard to optimize design of Ethereum (CISC).

Ethereum will do Akasha but Akasha will not be able to scale up to millions of users, have multi-billion market cap safely stored in a smart contract, etc because Akasha will have to compete with every other smart contract on Ethereum for the same resources.

If you ever see the phrase "Ethereum world computer", do not walk, run.

Ha! That's the one that made me curious about this cryptocurrency stuff a few months ago and paved the way for my understanding of the Steem whitepaper.
