Some of you may have read our story a few weeks back on how we started with this way of eating, called Banting. Banting is a low carb, high fat lifestyle which can be keto but doesn't have to be - main rule is low carbs with healthy foods.
Above is what a typical Banting meal would look like.
To cut a long story short, we wanted to remove processed carbs and high carb refined sugars from our sons diet when we learned about him possibly being autistic. It has become so much more than that now and it is a lifestyle I would suggest to everyone from the littlest baby to the oldest grandpa. There really are benefits for everyone.
James enjoying his mouthful of broccoli while trying to smile.
James is only 5 years old - and at the time of his diagnosis two years ago, he could barely sit still for any of the tests. He has progressed so so much that he can now successfully do Grade 1 math problems. In fact - he motored through 25 pages worth of them today.
He has come on his such leaps and bounds that he helps teach his 4 year old little brother too. Its quite amazing to witness.
Hit me up if you want to learn more about Banting!
