Hi, I am Frost Fractal, a 22 year-old from Singapore. I am currently studying physics and mathematics in university and am interested in blockchains and cryptography. I can't wait to try out using steemit as it looks like a creative system for rewarding and filtering social media. I might consider sharing some interesting tidbits that I learn about too!
My name comes from my interest in fractals - mathematical structures that appear similar to themselves on different scales. For example, the Mandelbrot set is a fractal based on the simple formula z -> z^2 + c. Yet, by iterating this formula throughout the complex plane and finding which points grow to infinity rather than staying bounded, one can produce a intricate boundary filled with beautiful patterns. Perhaps I will dedicate a more in-depth post on fractals later.
