Hi Leute! [scroll down for english version]
Ich bin Johannes und habe mich von ein paar Tagen auf Hive angemeldet. Ich sitze gerade mit einer Tasse Kaffee am Tisch in unserem selbst ausgebauten Bus, der im Moment auf einer Wiese in Südalbanien steht. Wir, das sind meine Frau, ich und unser kleiner einjähriger Sohn (dem wir unsere einjährige Elternzeit-Reise verdanken).
Ich bin heute etwas eher aufgestanden, um die freie Zeit zu nutzen und diesen Post zu schreiben. Ich werde hier über unsere Erlebnisse auf unserer Reise berichten, ab und zu ein paar Fotos posten und vielleicht über das eine oder andere kleine Projekt schreiben (so der Plan).
Vor der Reise haben wir in Dresden gewohnt, wo wir nach der Reise vermutlich auch wieder landen werden.
Im August 2023 sind wir los gefahren und über Frankreich, Spanien, noch mal Frankreich und Italien mit der Fähre in Albanien gelandet. Demnächst geht es weiter nach Griechenland und wenn es uns dort zu warm wird über den Balkan zurück nach Deutschland. Im Oktober 2024 ist unsere Reise dann wohl zuende.
Vor der Reise habe ich in einem Institut gearbeitet, in welchem hauptsächlich Projekte zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit bearbeitet werden. Es war ein tolles Arbeitsumfeld, allerdings habe ich nicht vor, den Rest meines Lebens vor dem Computer zu verbringen. Mal sehen, was sich also noch so ergibt.
Sonst bin ich sehr gern in der Natur unterwegs, kenne mich auch etwas mit Tieren und Pflanzen aus und fotografiere und koche gern, was im Bus noch mal eine ganz neue Erfahrung ist.
Nun ist der Kleine aufgewacht, deshalb jetzt mal in den Tag starten!

Hi guys!
I'm Johannes and I registered on Hive a few days ago. I'm currently sitting with a cup of coffee at the table in our self converted bus, which is currently parked in a meadow in southern Albania. We are my wife, I and our little one-year-old son (to whom we owe our one year parental leave trip).
I got up a little earlier today to use the free time to write this post. I will report here about our experiences on our trip, post a few photos and maybe write about small current projects (that's the plan).
Before the trip we lived in Dresden (Germany), where we will probably end up again after.
In August 2023 we left and landed by ferry in Albania via France, Spain, France again and Italy. We'll soon be going on to Greece and if it gets too warm there we'll head back to Germany via the Balkans. Our trip will probably end in October 2024.
Before the trip, I worked in an institute that mainly works on sustainability projects. It was a great working environment, but I don't plan on spending the rest of my life in front of the computer. Let's see what happens in the next years.
I really enjoy being out in nature, I know a bit about animals and plants and I like taking photos and cooking, which is a completely new experience on the bus.
Now the little one has woken up, so let's start the day!

Danke! Frankreich hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Ist auch das einzige Land, dessen Sprache wir ein wenig sprechen und noch ein Stück besser verstehen. In den anderen Ländern haben wir bei Null angefangen und dann Stück für Stück ein paar wichtige Vokabeln gelernt.
Ist immer gut paar Brocken der Sprache zu beherrschen 👍🏻

In Albanien war ich vor etwa 20 Jahren. Auch mit VW-Bus, Frau und Kindern. Uns haben sie damals für verrückt erklärt, mit Kindern nach Albanien zu reisen. Im Norden war es noch ziemlich unruhig, aber da mussten wir ja nicht hin.
War dieses Jahr schon 2x auf Korfu. Das liegt ja nur einen Katzensprung rüber von Albanien. Hat mir dort sehr gut gefallen. Hab auch ein paar Bilder hier gepostet.
Euch noch viel Spass und genießt die Zeit.
Danke dir! Damals war sicher noch alles anders hier. Jetzt ist es vor allem an der Küste sehr touristische. Im Inland hat es uns besser gefallen. Vor 3 Jahren waren wir schon mal hier, da war es an der Küste noch etwas entspannter.
Ich werd mir deine Korfu-Posts mal ansehen. Da wollen wir in den nächsten Tagen hin und suchen noch nach Zielen.
Ja, als wir dort waren, gab es kaum Tourismus.
Korfu ist wirklich sehenswert.
