Hello everyone, I'll be going by h4sh from here on out.
I am a professional software engineer and discovered Bitcoin around 2010-2011. I have been highly interested in crypto-currency ever since! However, I didn't stick to my mining efforts (slush's pool) or take it too seriously (doh).
Over the past year I started to pay attention to crypto again. I began realizing, after all this time, why alt-coins are a thing. Looking into all the alt coins and seeing the different applications of utilizing blockchain technology to solve problems (or attempt to) is very exciting.
A coworker of mine told me about steem and steemit, and I immediately loved the idea -- it offers a completely new approach to content generation incentive and social media. I am not a big user of social media (prefer to stay anonymous), though I hope to have a good time interacting with this community!
:D
Welcome to Steem. Do read A thumb rule for steemit minnows - 50:100:200:25 for starter tips.
Also get to know more about Steem reading the Steem Blue Paper and share your feedback on our Steem Blue Paper Awareness Initiative
All the Best!!!
welcome to steemit. I hope you will enjoy your account and keep posting your original content and the nice photos :)
Ty, photos to come :)
This is a great place for you to be. If you enjoy blockchain programming, get in touch with some of the devs. You can earn really great compensation for doing a lot of the background work on here! It is an awesome community here, as everyone has a like minded mentality of wanting this platform to take off! Welcome! Following!
Thanks Beth. I absolutely love to program -- working my way through Mastering Bitcoin to help wrap my head around the technical aspects.
Blockchain is here to stay and I'm all for learning and applying bleeding edge tech.
Let me know if you would be interested in a project that I am putting together! I don't want to talk about it in the open, because as awesome as this platform is, there are a lot of people I still don't trust. I am creating a new account, and am trying to get some SP delegation for this project. I am not sure how much you know yet about blockchain programming, but I am trying to put a team together! Let me know! :)
