Here I am. Jumping into the deep end of the Steemit--somewhat confused but eager to learn. Apparently I used to be a human, but now I am a minnow, However I AM a minnow with a DREAM…a dream to one day be a whale… or a dolphin….ya definitely a dolphin because they smile and make those adorable little ah ah ah ah sounds when they try to talk to you!
Besides being transformative from land to sea creature, I am pretty transformative in my life activities too. I have done like, a really lot of stuff in my life (that was said in my best impression of a 19 year old millennial YouTube star--but you can’t hear it because I am typing.) Some say I get bored easily. This is not untrue. Some say I am addicted to learning things. That is a fair assessment. The reality is I just really enjoy following my nose. I like to think that my life is one really big concept album from the 70’s, where the music flows together and yet it’s weird as F#@k.
So what do I mean specifically? Well right now I own a Vintage & Upcycling clothing business, I sometimes work in film & television as an actor/producer assistant, I used to own an a contemporary art gallery, I also used to be a flight attendant. I have jumped out of an airplane, rode on the back of a motorcycle from Canada to San Francisco, I have drove in a smash-up derby, I have curated three private art exhibitions for Elton John, I have slept on a roof top in Athens, Greece because I was a flat-broke back-packer, I have taken the bull by the real & proverbial horns when I was 13 and my bestfriend dared me to jump into the coral with it. When I was a wee little kid, my parents rented an 8 bedroom mansion that was next door to an insane asylum with a bunch of their hippy friends…so I guess I can add that I even lived in a hippy commune!
I also make my own cheese, and bread, and grow my own food right here in a Canadian city. I am writing a screenplay, it is post-apocalyptic. I live with my husband who is an artist, and my cat who is a mouse-hunter. Oh yeah...I in my late 40's.
There you have it, you now know a little bit more about me. I hope you decide to follow me while I attempt to figure out the Steemit platform. I will do my best to provide content that visually interesting, or thought provoking, or something. I definitely will engage with people who follow me. I can also promise that whatever it is I share it will be authentically me…for whatever that is worth.
Thanks a bunch for reading this.

I'm Mr. Weirdo. Some call me Oatmeal. And does that not sound weird or what? Talk about weirdo. Being weird can be cool depending on what kind of weird we dealing with. There are probably MORE than fifty shades of WEIRD.How weird is that? How cool or crazy or awesome is that?
Are you part Amish? It is cool to make your own bread, cheese, etc. You seem to have had many adventures. I'm from Oregon and was in Hawaii and in Vietnam. But life is exciting and you you look pretty cool and exciting full of laughter and joy and you are not weird in any bad sense of the word. Welcome. Love your photos. Very cool and you are not weird in any bad sense of the word. Welcome. Love your photos. Very cool.
Thank you @joeyarnoldvn I agree weird can be good. I am not Amish, just really into being off the food grid as much as i can. I checked out your profile...music is so important. It is a biggie in our home. My stepson restores vintage guitars and my husband plays piano. Thanks for connecting!
I'd like to hear more about your post-apocalyptic screenplay.
