Life is full of wonderful people. Different nationalities, different talents, different appearances, and different perspectives. The whole world has a lot to offer, and a lot of people have tons of things they want to share. That's why it has been a privelege to be able to share stories through blogs and social media.
My name is Karl, an 18-year old Filipino.
Hey, that's me. I grew up in a christian family where my dad is a Pastor. But enough of that; what can you expect from me? Well, I consider myself quite the artist.
Starting 7th Grade, I joined the Newspaper Publishing Organization of our school. Since then, writing has become a hobby of mine. I've come to like the freedom of creative expression in writing.
Skipping to October 2015, I decided to join an art group in the Philippines. It's called GUHIT Pinas where GUHIT stands for "Guild for Upholding and Harnessing Indispensable Talents" (guhit also means "to draw" in Filipino) and Pinas is just a shortened name for Philippines. The group aims to promote arts in the Philippines, but a majority of the members are Visual Artists like me.

Through GUHIT Pinas, I was able to meet a lot of fellow artists and I was able to improve my craft. I was able to achieve realism in my drawings. Here are some sample artworks that I've done.

Currently my favorite. This is a pure render realistic portrait drawing of Ariana Grande using only a .5 mm 2b mech. pencil. I gave it away as a birthday gift.
Roronoa Zoro from One Piece using Colored Pencils. I actually started to learn drawing through anime. This is the most recent anime art that I've done.

I also joined art competitions hosted by GUHIT Pinas. I won once as third place.
Those were the good times haha.
This was the art that I submitted for the GPNE ANIME GENDERBEND COLLAB. It's Aladdin from Magi. It was also the first competition I participated in since joining.
Also, have I mentioned that I grew up in a christian family? That's right. And because of that, I was able to learn how to play instruments. I was able to grasp the basics of the piano, guitar, and the drums.
I'm currently the drummer of our church. I only started learning drums because nobody else could play, but I'm really glad I took the effort to learn. By learning how to play, I had greater appreciation to music.
Everyone has their own perks, but I'm just the same as any other person. I'm still just a voice waiting to be heard. Nobody will care until I've proven my worth. That's why I will share my life to you guys in hopes that I may inspire and touch hearts.
