Oh I'm so happy you're a stossel fan!! I love your tag line too, "good ideas don't require force", spot on :)
Just saw his Berkeley piece last night with a lil intro to LBRY as well! I had read up on LBRY a while back, but didn't realize the founder had downloaded all the free courses from Berkeley that the govt wouldn't allow because of closed captioning, so cool!! Now I can only hope to see a Steemit segment sometime in the near future ;)
And thanks for liking my tag line, just wish more people understood it as well :)
Yeah that's a great piece!! LRBY is super interesting, the ADA rulings for closed captioning are awful and deprive so many people of learning opportunities
Oh believe me, I work for the only full accessability solutions company in MN and we have to follow ADA all the time. The laws, regs, and licensing that are necessary completely stomp out smaller competition and massively raise the prices on what should be way less expensive equipment like stair lifts. It is designed to help, but it really only adds to the consumers costs. Per usual, the free market would be a much better barometer of who runs a good company and who doesn't. I see now though that the implications of ADA stretch even farther than I had imagined.
So many disgusting and crazy policies start out with good intentions :S
Lol, Yeah, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"
