Hi guys!
Today actually marks my 24th day here in Steemit. Yes, I am that young here but that actually gave me enough time and chance to check and learn on so many things. I also have met a number of people that have helped me grow here. I also got the chance to join contests and even won some. It was fun! Yet on my times that I strolled down my feed, I realized that I never really had the chance to make a formal introduction of myself. I have seen quite a few introduction posts and it became clear to me how subpar my introduction post was when I compared it to mine. So I have decided to finally make my own official introduction post!
The last time I did an introductory post was a mess. I first thought this was just another social media site by which the coolest account bio gets to dominate the audience. There, I've mentioned how I wanted to my identity to be mysterious and private. People actually left comments which I thought were funny and sarcastic, but now i realized they were dead serious. Now I came to a point where I became a bit more comfortable with posting regularly. I have also met my steemit family which is #steemitachievers. Of course, my real life friends who happen to be the ones who brought me here are a constant help, @kneelyrac and @ynohtna29. I have entered a lot of competitions which I enjoyed doing. Some I won, some I didn't, and there are some that vanished into memories. Whatever happened to those ghost competitions is history. I have also posted a lot in my steemit journey. It is great to finally have a place where I can learn to be appreciated, and also appreciate in return. And of course, I would also like to say thank you to our very own @surpassinggoogle for helping us beginners here. you have been a great help not only to the steem community but also to our individual personal improvements. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
When Life Finally Presents Itself, Don't Hesitate to Take the Jump!
I have always said this to myself. DO MORE THAN JUST EXIST! LIVE! I am a free spirit. This has always been my life. I enjoy it but sometimes it goes to become my weakness as well since I do not focus on a goal most of the times.
My full name is Quinn Ivan A. Tacmo. My friends here in college call me Ivan. I'm just Ivan. I was born and raised in Isabel, Leyte and I just came here in Iligan for college but I can already see my life shaping up in here. I really like arts, most of it. I like it so much that I make it a part of my life, name and identity. I really do a lot of it. I am also a sporty guy, in my young days I played football at a national level. I also played lawn tennis and basketball. But in college, I concentrated on volleyball in which I became a member of our university's varsity line up and also the captain of my college's team. It has always been my dream to travel but my wallet says otherwise. I've been to a lot of places and ate a lot of different food. I am living a life right now. I guess I want to because I can't wait for the time when I cannot do this anymore.

My background
I live in a country with endless beach shorelines, waterfalls, trekking sites and amazing nightlife but I have a lot more things to spend my money with. In short, I am stuck in just earning to pay bills and get by. Adulting feels great at first, but it struck me - I'm not gonna be feeling this way forever because sooner or later I am going to be an adult. Maybe I'll start having kids and the dream that I had always have will never ever be realized.
I started my college life with a lot of dreams in my head. I was one of those kids who held their heads up high knowing that the future is impregnated with a lot of possibilities whether good or bad. I was one of those kids who boldly promised their family a better future not only for himself, but also for them as well. I dreamed of a big house, a car, and a family.
I come from a family that has enough money to get by on a daily basis, and more. Here in the Philippines, commodities can be bought on a less expensive price. However, that does not apply on us, middle class families. The way I see it, we are neither rich nor poor. My parents send me allowance which I think is more than enough to what I actually need.
I study in a public university here in the Philippines, the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology. It is the prime university in the island of Mindanao and the students here get to enjoy a lot of benefits like 100% free tuition, top-notch academic privileges, high-end research facilities and even a social life at that. I am taking the course Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering.
