I'm not inclined to go so far as to call Jesus an anarchist. I've pondered upon the progression of Christianity since the days of Christ and I certainly see the every growing importance of the individual as sovereign. It is evident in the way the church has fractured over the millenia. Many sense the need for individual conscience in choosing how to act in the world. As this has progressed the number of ways that people can believe has become as great as the number of individuals who do believe.
Incorporated into Christian thinking is the idea of the King of Kings. Who could possibly perform this miraculous task without becoming just another tyranny? It becomes apparent that this is part of what Christ represents to the human mind. The potential of an all knowing, all caring, all providing King, who can meet the needs of every individual and also meet the needs of those individuals as a collective. The archetypal 'Good King', though I much prefer the idea of 'King of Kings'.
To cut it short somewhat, my own decision was to align myself with no other than the King of Kings. The only true monarch who could rule with justice. I'm not sure anarchy fulfills that role for me.
Thanks for your thoughts...
