The volunteer of my life | First Post | Introduceyourself | Jhorjo

What a thrill! Here I am posting my first post after two months of a dying wait to enter this wonderful community. Did it take you guys that long?

Sorry for the face hahaha

Anyway, I feel very happy to be able to start this learning journey with all of you I have already acquired some knowledge, I've already acquiered some knowledge, I did'nt know a thing about HTML writing before STEEMIT. So, I want to give you a mini biography about me, so you can get to know me a little better.

These are my best friends since kindergarden!

With the surname Barreto and the name Jhorman, I introduce myself with humility to you. I'm a commercial announcer, dubbing actor, fearful of turning 21 on June 17th, I've got the best sign of the zodiac. For those who saw Saint Seiya, you know it's Geminis. I manage every day to go up to the capital of my country, Venezuela, to continue my highest studies, and if you're wondering I study Fiscal Science but I dream to study cinematography one day. Even though, not all the time was like this. When I finished high-school I was 16 and then I went to University to study STATISTICS, I didn't even know why I chose that! Although, it wasn't two semesters later thta I was able to change careers. YAAAAS!

Here I am dubbig some serie for Netflix Latin America

When I changed my studies, my university and, above all, my friends, an association emerged from nowhere that undoubtedly this boy immediately joined. It’s important to emphasize, I’m not ashamed to admit it, that I was only interested in the English course they offered me for free, but once inside, once I realized that this Association was more than just a simple English course and some money, I fell in love with everything that the above-mentioned one promulgated. To add, when I have to give my testimony I never stop saying that I was always selfish with other people, but with the arrival of AVAA (Venezuelan American Friendship Association) in my life, it changed my life not only from head to toe, but from soul. And how could I continue to be selfish when the volunteering I did in orphanages, old people's homes and hospitals touched my soul? And not to mention that when I left any volunteer work, my smile went from ear to ear…

This photo was taken the last year in one of my favorite volunteering jobs!

In my testimonies, talks or when someone asks me about my Association, I always try to bring to light a phrase that has marked me for life: "Are you proud of who you have become?

Adding to that, one thing I didn't expect was that I could write a complete science fiction novel! (In spanish, of course) with more than 100K of readings on Wattpad, I will soon translate it. Would you like to read it?

This is the bookcover, if you know Spanish you can find it on Wattpad

In this association I've learned too much, and not only from my career and all the other careers you can imagine, but they teach us how to be leaders, to teamwork, to have a sense of belonging, to have solidarity, to respect, to be understanding and above all, to be excellent in everything we set out to do in our lives. AVAA's Proxcellence Program is my refuge, my wonderland in the Panem that Venezuela is currently experiencing, but above all it is the place where my dreams come true. No, it isn’t Disneyland

My life is like a story still being written in this world, and I hope it has millions of chapters to share with you all. And why not bring you some fictional stories, or many more testimonials about my fellow AVAA members, the volunteer work I do and my work? I have a restless mind, so wait for my next post!

See you soon!
