Hello Steemians!

After couple of hours thinking I've decided to join this amazing community. I was a bit nervous about it. I’ve never shared any of my personal thoughts with strangers before. I hope within some time we’ll call each other friends. 🙂

Let the journey begin!

My name’s Mateusz. If you want, you can call me Kamyk or just Matt. I’m a 20 year old guy from Poland. I was always a thinker. It would be a great opportunity to share some of my ideas with people. I hope it will be helpful to some of you. I’m passionate about music and writing. I was always crazy about everything that is related to it. I love singing and playing instruments like piano or guitar.. When I was younger I was really shy. I was even scared of performing in front of my parents. I lost my purpose. For a long time I was a dreamer but I didn't enforce my ideas. After all of that I’ve decided to buck up and take matters into my own hands. Somewhere inside me, I'm still a quiet person, but I've overcome most of my anxiety.

Music in my life

My music journey started 8 years ago. I was attending a music school for a short amount time. Unfortunately I didn't have enough money to stay there. All I've learned there was some basics guitar chords. I didn’t know anyone from music industry and I've made a lot of mistakes during my journey. I was enchanted with my first guitar. I use it to this day. I’ve started singing at the age of 14. I was inspired to do this by artists like Ed Sheeran or John Mayer. I’ve watched tons of youtube lessons. I was learning by trial and error. I’m lucky that I didn’t hurt my voice. I've met a lot of great people due to music. They changed my life. First music performances were really frightening me. I threw myself in the deep end and it was worth it. It's the best feeling in the world when so much people are intrigued with your message.

My purpose

I'm here to help other people with starting their own music journey. My opportunities are to share with you all I know about music.
Also I’d like to convince many people that you don’t have to start early to sing or play instruments.I was a very private person. I’m still working on a better me, but I’ve improved a lot and I’d like to encourage other people like me to do the same. Feel the fear and do it anyway.
In my future posts I’m going to write about singing, other artists and their vocal analysis. It’s my dream to make a living as an artist.Also I'd love to share with you all my future work which are my thoughts about everyday life, songwriting and doing some lovely covers.

How did I find about Steemit?

My best friend Patrick who is also an amazing programmer introduced me to the cryptocurrency. I’ve started reading articles about it and it’s got me interested more and more.


I was thinking about starting a blog for a couple of weeks already. My inner voice was telling me that it’s a bad idea. - ”People won’t like your content. Don’t waste your time”. But then Patrick told me about Steemit. At first I wasn’t sure about it.
My friend logged into his account and I’ve literally fallen in love. It was an incredible feeling to see all the people sharing with each other valuable content. I’ve felt that I have to be a part of this community. It’s a great motivation to keep helping people and giving them your best.
