Hi Steemit! Kheraleiventures will Share Her World Here :D #IntroduceYourself

Hiya! Just call me Lei as most of my friends fondly call me. One of my dreams is to be a writer. When I was a little younger, writing essays were such a burden to me so how much more writing a longer content? LOL! And now, for me writing is my way of expressing my thoughts. Do I sound like an introvert?

Just to give you a brief background of my life, I was very active in school from academics to extra-curricular activities back to my elementary and high school days. I had so many friends then things were getting serious when I went to college juggling academics, love life, family problems and singing career. But in spite of all those trials, I was able to surpass them and finished a degree. Was glad to be hired as company HR while continuing my singing career. Yet, I just stopped being a professional performer/singer in some known big hotels and resorts in Cebu, Philippines, last February 2017. After that, I slowly began crawling to my shell.

My extrovert side dominated my personality a few years ago but it changed just these past few months. However, I like what I am right now. For me, this is a sign of maturity because I became more understanding and I listen more than talk nonsense things (please note that this statement is referring to myself and not to anybody else). I’m loving the kind of world I have right now even though it felt like I’m hiding in my shell but it gave me the gift of enlightenment to realize some things in which I was trying to figure out back then, put deeper meanings into little things and it gave me peace of mind too. I would still overthink things sometime but now that I am more self-aware -- I can easily find peace within
me.

Until now, I still love music because music is my passion. I even miss singing – like singing in front of the crowd but I would only sing if I’d like to, not that I have to and just because I am being paid to do it. Even though I like hiding in my shell, I still want my extrovert side – maybe in the future, balancing my extrovert and introvert sides would be a piece of cake for me. You might want to ask why should I bother? It is because I want to maintain a healthy relationship with my family and friends. And a dream to acquire more clients, more business partners in my future business ventures.

I’m not super successful right now but I never imagined what I have acquired already at this stage which I am so thankful. I doubted myself back then but with my family’s and friends’ love and guidance, it helped me strive to survive. Quarter life crisis is such a pain in the ass but I will still keep on swimming even though I would feel like drowning and even thought of stopping. Perseverance is the key.

At the end of the day, it’s the choices we make. It is our own way of living, exploring what life could give and how we handle it at present. It is not just for the battles we’ve won or about to win, it is what we learn after we’ve failed or being rejected.
