I am into drifting, and this will be my drift toy once I get another home with a carport or garage. KID AT HEART!
I am to that part of my life where I feel like it is too late to find success as it takes time to build, but at the same time I feel like a kid at heart and in health!
I am sure other steemer's can relate to what I am going through?
I was the young man that hung with the wrong crowd up until getting married at 24, and having to grow up over night.
I had done mostly drinking, and a little working for beer money up until getting married. I was in and out of jail pretty much daily for bar fights, fighting police, and DWI's.
My wife saved my life!
I had been sandblasting and painting since I was a 17yr old high school drop out. I lied on my application so I could get the job even though I was not 18. As I am sure you could imagine, I worked for numerous companies over the years. I would wake up with a hangover and quit. When the beer money ran out, I would run to another company and beg for a job.
At age 26, we moved to New Orleans, and I had finally gotten into a industry that I thought I would "LOVE" for the rest of my life! Car sales! I was great at it! Still am! But I noticed, even though drinking was no longer "The Issue", I was still car lot hopping every couple months. One night, thinking to myself, I had realized one thing, I was not a "Employee"! I was meant to be a "Entrepreneur".
My wife and I were given a rare opportunity to buy out a up and running body shop! I was 28 at the time and fear had over taken my body and mind. My wife's grandmother fronted us the start up money and we dove in. After one year of being opened, and up to a potential $50,000 a month in revenue we had to shut down the shop and turn all vehicles to other shops.
I learned a valuable lesson,,,,,,never open a business you know nothing about! To rely solely on your employees knowledge of a business is devastating! Especially when most body shop techs have a drinking and drug abuse issue. I also learned that no matter how bad, or hard times are,,,,,never let an outsider rent half of your shop to get by. This will not work out well when you end up needing the space because business picked up 10 fold.
After closing the body shop I had returned to car sales, then to commercial debt collection, then back to car sales, and eventually into armed security for FEMA.
Introduction To The Power Of The Internet
After moving back to my home town in 2008 to be closer to my mother, I lost my position with FEMA. We were eating out of donated cans, trading our kitchen appliances for the months rent, and driving vehicles with no insurance and bad tags.
We were BUSTED, with three kids to take care of as well. My mom helped out as much as she could, but even she was not a wealthy woman. Our landlords bent over backwards to help us with rent. (Blessed) I vowed to never be in this position again. One night while up stressed to no end, I found a site for "Work At Home" on Craiglist. As I looked deeper into the company, I found it was a adult website you would get guys to go sign up to and get a commission.
As desperate as we were at that time, with no gas to commute to work in our illegal vehicles, we signed up that night and got a email from the owners. They were nice enough to call us and tell us how to work the hustle. So here I am, an ex-fema guard to posing as a x rated cam model on Craigslist and Yahoo IM. How low I sunk!
Well,,,,,hold up! My wife and I went from $120.00 our first week doing this to $600.00 in one night. This was the new hustle for me! No one could see us! We sat in our kitchen together on our PC's and raked in around $2-$3 grand a month on the low end. I was in HEAVEN!
One night while working our usual hustle,,,,George W Bush gets on the TV and announces the recession! Our sales went from $900-$1100 a week to $600 a month. We went from 10 Yahoo IM's a hour to 1 Yahoo IM a night. Let's face it,,,,sex is the first thing to go when money dries up.
So that was my first online "Hustle" and it was good, but very short lasting. It sure did clean up the mess we had from my being laid off after the move.
After this, I done a few other ventures with a successful online sales CEO. Never made even close to the money from the adult site gig. I worked for a couple companies, and done car flipping with a couple guys.
In 2011 I had tried to resell things on eBay. I was doing well. I mainly flipped guitars and PS3 systems since they had a good resell value, but a low buy in since the PS4 was introduced. HUGE car repairs killed my capital so I went into mechanic work for myself. Eventually working for O'Riley's Auto as a RSS. Since I had a past in auto mechanics.
My wife and I are trying to get a home, even now in 2017! This was what led to me leaving O'Riley's back in 2015! I needed more income, so I went back to Kia, as a sales rep. I worked for Kia for only two months and said "SCREW THIS"!
I hated the prick district manager screwing people out of their bonus!
I hated the assistant manager that was cocky about EVERYTHING!
I BEEN sick of the (Pretty Much) 6-12hr days.
I quit! I was going to become a YouTube Vlogger! LMAO!
2016
About a month into the "Vlog Mentality", I realized I was a cajun man with little to nothing to vlog about. I had to do something, and QUICK!
I remembered how well I had done with eBay in the past. I met other resellers, got some tips, and went out "Sourcing" at the thrifts and yard sales. First "Haul Video" was June 20th 2016! I was PUMPED!
By Aug 2016 I had made $3844.00 in "Gross Rev" on eBay, with 260 active items....WOW!
Aug 13th 2016, 6ft of water entered our home between 6pm and Midnight. I was able to rescue 20 of my 260 items. Wham! Up and down again over night.
We were lucky to find this place we are in, that I hate, in a place surrounded by drug sellers and users, in a place I had never been before the flood. I also re-opened my eBay store back in Oct 2016 and started filling it back up, only to find half the sales numbers I had seen previous, with the same number of items listed. All while merchandise at thrifts have tripled or quadrupled in cost.
I am also "Super Lucky" and was accepted to Amazon Merch, so I am growing that stream of income slowly. Started in March 2017 with $7 royalty to $53 in June. STOKED!
I constantly watch other "Marketers", and/or "Resellers" to find new ways to find success online! I had been watching @rulesforrebels videos off and on for some time, never knowing the wealth of information he has for others in numerous markets.
I am finding that chasing items for resell is not what I look forward to at 70yrs old. I mean, continuous hands on work is basically what chased me away from car sales. And now I am right back into it with eBay. HUSTLE, HUSTLE,HUSTLE, Kiss Wife, HUSTLE,HUSTLE,HUSTLE! No thanks!
As I watched Mr Rebel, he shown a new way to meet others and learn about Bitcoins, or whatever you call the stuff, so I came here in searching for maybe another interesting BOOM? I have a lot to learn, but I am a sponge.
I have been around the block and back 32 times, but if you have read all of the above, I hope you take one thing from my story. That is, I will never give up!
I will find a soothing income, or numerous soothing streams of income! I will never give up my journey until I die. I know I will find it, and my time is coming soon, given the blows I took over the years.
Now that you know 90% of my past life and business ventures, I look forward to sharing future ones with others here.
I also look forward to meeting others with that overwhelming kinetic energy that pushes them to do great things, even when the cards are stacked against them.
Sorry for the long intro! I hope you have a better understanding of who I am, and what led me here.

You have a very interesting story and hustle past, I really dug the story. A while back I had tried to signup for chaturbate and was going to try to do something similar but never really got off the ground with it.
How's merch going for you? For me it's definately ebb and flow. It's really wierd I'll have like 7 of one shirt sell in a week and think it should be getting better BSR scores and really taking off and then it won't sell another one for like a month so that kind of blows my mind but overally my sales are slowly but surely improving. I think I'm about 16 or 17 shirts away from teiring up and being able to get a bunch more designs up
Our xxx hustle was with enticecash.com. It was AWESOME, but you had to HUSTLE at it. We would wake up around 1PM and log on at 2PM with a pot of coffee, and work it until 8-9AM. $50 per sign up after 10 sign ups is hard to miss out on. The Merch thing, I had my best month EVER last month, and then June 26th it DIED! I see a upward trend with sales. But I am seeing the same results as you are. Selling a handful of the same shirts over and over, but never gaining momentum. I just keep rotating stale designs with new ones and hope my research pays off with a sale or two of that design. Many people say tier 100 is the mile stone for the BIG $, while other people state they were selling many shirts and hit 100 tier and sales fell off. I hope me and you have a kick ass Q4 with Merch.
