I saw this post on my facebook account awhile ago and thought I could post it on steemit. For starters, I do not own the photo. I just saw it, copied it and I would paste my answer below:
"Paano ka naging GAMER?" (How did you become a GAMER?)
Before 7 years old, I started with Family Computer. Then binigyan kami ng Sega dreamcast and I played some on that. I also had the opportunity to play neo-geo since I have relatives then who works abroad and receive some as gifts. Naalala ko pa noong bata ako tatambay ako sa mga tito ko since they have a Desktop there and I would watch him play Diablo 2 and Yuri's Revenge. I would watch and then he would let me play afterwards pag natapos sya.
Probably around 10-12 years old. My parents bought me a Playstation 1. It was really memorable to me since that was my dream then and it was really expensive. It was around 7000-8000 at that time. That was the time when you could buy 1 kilo of rice for 20-25 pesos or 5 pesos for 1 bottle of Coke. Ang Pancit Canton noon is 4 pesos pa lang so the 7000-8000 pesos is really a lot of money. I remembered playing Diablo 1 then with my cousins (they also have PS1) and I would go there with my memory card to load my save files and we would do a skirmish together.
Before High School, around grade 5 or 6, I had the opportunity to have a Desktop on my own. I would see my mom doing amazing paints on MS Paint and my dad doing christmas songs and games (snakes and tic tac toe) using DOS. It was on windows 98.
After that we upgraded to windows XP at some point and I was able to install Diablo 2 and Yuri's revenge. Later is the time when I would also go walk for 30-1 hour to go to a computer shop near school to rent since the rent at that time was 25 per hour and the computer shop near my school is only 15 per hour. I would play Counter Strike, Renegade, Impossible Creatures, Dota1 and other stuff for 2-3 hours almost everyday.
That was my child hood for being a gamer. I now play LOL which is same as dota 1 and other amazing games like oxygen not included.

im already 26 years old and im still a gamer. maybe a hard core gamer. i still play games such as fate grand order. i dont know if you heard about it. im still into childish stuff such as anime. no one can relate to me since most of my female friends are into kpop or sex/love life stuff. just because im 26 that doesnt mean i should give up the things i love in my childhood days.
when i was young, i am always scolded for playing games in internet cafe shop. im glad now that i have graduated and have a job, i have my own laptop and phone and parents no longer scold me for playing games.
I am also 26 and I really love anime and games. I am into league of legends now but before, I played Final Fantasy VII and Dino Crisis at least 8-9 times. Those are PS1 games. I agree that none should stop us from what we love to do. Games reminds us of those childhood days when we're just having fun without any problems and obligations to do.
