Introduction - Primarily BJJ Posting

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Hello! My name is Sho and I was born and raised in California. I love dogs (particularly boston terriers), gaming (although not as much now), my family, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (which is what I want to primarily write about on steemit). Nice to meet you all!
Profile
(Hair is not like this right now)

I have been training BJJ for just over a year now (13 months to be exact) and wanted to start sharing my thoughts as I continue to learn and improve in this sport/martial art. I don't expect to be writing much about what I learn in terms of techniques, but am happy to do that in discussion anytime. I intend to write more about the philosophical aspects of BJJ, the problems we all work through (or want to), and improvements we make both on the mats and in the other parts of our lives through it. I would hope that readers either relate in some way (if not directly) or develop a level of interest in what BJJ is and perhaps even try it one day.

To outline a little bit more; I think anyone that does BJJ and reads posts here will probably have some understanding of cryptocurrency and in all likelihood are pretty intelligent. Through posting milestones and thoughts, I hope to relate with those that are on the same kind of trajectory in improvement; both those ahead and behind where I currently am. So, if you consider yourself a fairly fast learner and can solve puzzles in challenging environments (while loving it) then we will certainly have a lot to converse about! I look forward to the upcoming conversations with you all and thank you for reading.

Welcome to Steemit Land! Great to see you continuing to post more often now!
I wish you the best! and hope to see you soon.

Thank you and I definitely want to do so!

Hello Sho, welcome to Steemit, enjoy :-)

Thank you tomino

Welcome to Steem Community @ksgata! As a gentle reminder, please keep your master password safe. The best practise is to use your private posting key to login to Steemit when posting; and the private active key for wallet related transactions.

In the New Steemians project, we help new members of steem by education and resteeeming their articles. Get your articles resteemed too for maximum exposure. You can learn more about it here: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@gaman/new-steemians-project-launch

Welcome Aboard! I'm interested to see the good BJJ content you post. IT's sorely lacking here at the moment. Cool picture with bustamante BTW

Thank you so much @ehzi-dehve! I look forward to future discussions in both of our blogs. :)

Great, welcome to Steemit, @ksgata! I am very happy to see that we are slowly building a small BJJ community here.

It seems that we started BJJ around the same time, so we can exchange experiences on our journeys. Very much looking forward to read about your outlook on this amazing art (by the way, cool photo with Murilo Bustamante for your intro). It is interesting that, as you pointed it out, BJJ seems to appeal to intelligent people who are also slightly geeky ;-)

Thank you @irime. That is great; it'll be very insightful to follow one another's journey and most helpful during the most challenging times. Though, it's hard to imagine that right now since it's so fun!

A new Steemian :-) hello @ksgata I hope you enjoy your time here, its a great community ! Nice post, wish you much luck! I Have upvoted and will follow your account. Don't hesitate to contact or follow me at any time :-) See you around @tradewonk

Thank you @tradewonk! Appreciate it and I'll follow you as well.

Welcome to Steem @ksgata I have upvoted and sent you a tip

Welcome ksgata, I hope you enjoy it here! This is a great place for a multitude of reasons; I’m sure you’ll find plenty of your own.

I am going to follow you and ask that in return you follow me. But take note, this type of following is almost a moot point. After all, wouldn’t you rather be following people with similar interests? OR following people whom are like minded?

Just my two cents, but welcome all the same. At my site, @carltong; I have blogs on scams, easy to use faucets, and more. I don’t link to any of these in this letter, because I want to genuinely welcome you to Steemit. It’s that great an invention, lol.

Here is my best advice for you:

”If it seems too good to be true, then it’s NOT true.”

I lost over $1000 at BitcoinsBrain, and almost got taken by FexFund; I was given this advice once; “be nice to everyone and don’t trust anyone”.

Whatever the case, WELCOME HERE. Say hi once in a while and I’ll try to do the same.

Enjoy,
@carltong

Thank you for the heads up @carltong

Welcome to Steemit @ksgata, I have upvoted and sent you a tip. Check my blogs if you are looking for tips on how to earn more Steem and SBD.

Sup! I looked up your profile and saw that you have signed up recently so I thought I'd send my regards. You get an upvote and full steem ahead!
I know how hard it is as a fresh account so you should try out Steemfollower where you can earn up to 5x more steem than just upvoting by yourself! It's a simple and safe vote exchange that is free to use. I compiled this post to explain the system in more depth and it has become my most upvoted post yet.
