Retired in Texas

I'm originally from Florida, but I enjoy being in Texas

My husband and I are retired in Texas, but not really. I was a dental technician for 45 years and owned my own lab for over 25 of those years. I retired on my birthday in Dec. 2017. I am still a writer. I have two published Children's books and a full length fiction novel. It's called The Anchor is the Key. It's about a psychic who gets drawn into a murder mystery involving more than one ghost.

So, while I'm retired from dentistry, I'm still very active as a writer. My husband retired from sales and is a performing musician.
I found Steemit in an online booklet I was reading for information on cryptocurrency. I had made a little money with litecoin and am curious about what kinds of currencies are available and how to buy them. It's still a source of confusion to me. I have an account with Coinbase, but only 4 coins are available there for purchase. When I opened my account with Coinbase 4 years ago I was led to believe it was the only way to purchase bitcoin. I was obviously misled. I will appreciate any tips on where to look for other exchanges.

A whole welcome to Steemit.@Linda

Welcome steemit @lahvista, you wont regret investing your time here.

Great intro, good to see you again :)

This is a very handy website. Decide what coin you want to buy, find it on the list, and then click on the markets tab to see where it's sold.

The problem at the moment is that most of the better exchanges are getting such an influx of new users that they can't take any more and have closed to new people.

Maybe you'll just have to buy Steem!
