Hey, I'm Leah. I'm brand new to Steemit. I had posted a business-related article before I understood this site (I'd heard it's a great place for business owners), but then I realized I'd made the mistake of using that article as an introduction post. Oops! I'm quite excited about what Steemit has to offer and hope I can start over.
I'd like to introduce myself properly if that's ok!
I don't have a very good understanding of this blockchain tech stuff, but I'm intrigued. As a full-time musician, I'm very curious and excited about what might possible in this arena when it comes to making a living, and providing value to others through this technology.
So here's my story:
I have five kids ages 10 to 1, and we've been homeschooling since Day 1. We absolutely love the freedom of learning whatever we want, what is useful, and being able to direct our kids toward their personal giftings.
I believe that's my job as their mother: to help them discover what they are uniquely capable of and help them to increase their knowledge and skill in their talents.
Life is pretty good! They get to ride bikes, climb trees, play with toys and draw.... usually all of those things before breakfast!
And I love homeschooling in this day and age of the Internet. Yes, there's a lot to protect them from, but there's much to expose them to as well!
I'm also a Celtic Metal songwriter and singer. I play mainly keyboards (and all the virtual instruments that I can find) and am learning the folk harp as well. I've got 3 albums and hope to release another one in 2017.
Besides that, we're Libertarian-loving entrepreneurs. I've always held convictions about personal freedom, but didn't really know how to verbalize it until Ron Paul really brought it to light during his last presidential campaign. My dad was the one who told us about "Dr. No" and was a delegate for him in his county. It's made a big impact on our family life, our homeschooling, and our decisions to take our future into our own hands.
Since then, my husband and I have built a successful business helping other musicians like myself build their fanbase online, around the world!
