RE: Macey Tomlin: Advocating for Psychedelic Therapy

Thanks to one of Terence McKenna’s videos I’ve lately become acutely aware of how real-life newspeak has limited discussion of this topic. The average person simply doesn’t have the vocabulary to discuss “drugs”. There are just “good drugs” and “bad drugs”. And when we’re talking about “good drugs” we don’t even call them drugs, they’re “pills”. And other mood altering substances are addressed by name: alcohol, cigarettes. Everything else is Drugs. And they’re Bad. I’m very conscious of my own ignorance: it wasn’t until you explained the meaning of the word “psychedelic” on Facebook the other day that I discovered what that word really meant. Like anarchy, a word with ancient greek roots... and I studied ancient greek. My old teacher would be shaking his head (he was not an ancient greek). I anticipate learning a lot from your writings.
