Hello Steemit! I am an unaccredited, rogue scientist conducting psychedelic field studies. That means I observe the effect LSD has on a person in various situations. For example: I study what effect LSD has on a person climbing a rock face. Or, I explore the effects of LSD on a person using a new sociocultural technology — like Tinder or Steemit. The people I study are often me. I might be best described as a psychedelic anthropologist.
To summarize: I study LSD outside a clinical setting.
I am not currently affiliated with any institution. This means I have the freedom to design my own experiments.
What are LSD field studies?
Field studies are vastly different from much of the research that has been done on LSD so far. We already know that LSD improves mental and physical performance and has the capacity to heal deep trauma. However, LSD is still in its infancy as a tool for social change and expanding personal awareness. As one example of the use of LSD outside a clinical setting, here is a fun story about how LSD contributed to one of the most impressive feats in professional baseball:
In LSD field studies, I explore the ways that LSD can be used to heighten awareness, intuition and problem-solving in situ. By 'in situ' I mean, in real-life situations. More examples of this type of research might be: How does LSD effect business deals? Can LSD improve navigational skills? What effect does LSD have on a person taking an exam? Can LSD resolve relationship conflicts in the home? Can it help you do motorcycle maintenance? How can it continue to heal us as we go about our everyday lives?
What has LSD ever done for us?
Arguably LSD is the reason you're reading this post on the internet. Steve Jobs said that, "Taking LSD was a profound experience, one of the most important things in my life. LSD shows you that there’s another side to the coin, and you can’t remember it when it wears off, but you know it. It reinforced my sense of what was important—creating great things instead of making money, putting things back into the stream of history and of human consciousness as much as I could."
Jobs then went on to design the NeXT computer that Tim Berners-Lee used to create the internet. Jobs' other inventions arguably changed the way we interact with each other and redefined communication for billions of people.
LSD also facilitated the creation of the Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, for which scientist Kary Mullis won a Nobel Prize. Mullis told reporters, "Back in the 1960s and early '70s I took plenty of LSD. A lot of people were doing that in Berkeley back then. And I found it to be a mind-opening experience. It was certainly much more important than any courses I ever took".
Later, Albert Hofmann "revealed that he was told by Nobel-prize-winning chemist Kary Mullis that LSD had helped him develop the polymerase chain reaction that helps amplify specific DNA sequences." Mullis claimed that although he was not actively on LSD when he discovered PCR, it opened the door to this discovery:
There are many more examples of LSD's incredible power as a catalyst for invention. I will cover them in future posts.
What now?
For now, I'm glad to be part of the Steemit community and I'm excited to share details of my field studies with you all. I am also open to suggestions for future experiments. If you have an idea for an experience or activity you would like to see combined with the psychedelic state, let me know.

It is always nice to see more people writing about psychedelics. Welcome to the site.
Things can be a little slow at first so don't get discouraged. A lot of the time it is more profitable to comment than it is to post when you are new so keep that in mind. Engaging with the communities that you plan to post in will yield the best type of follower so that might be something to consider.
Watch out for spammers and scammers too. People will try to fish for upvotes by commenting generic stuff like "great post" but they don't upvote you so it isn't worth wasting your vote power. Others may post some suspicious links with the promise of some amazing deal but most of them just lead to a phishing site.
Good luck.
Thank you @artisticscreech
I'm looking forward to writing more. And thank you for the guidance :)
welcome to steemit lsdx. good luck and have a great prosperity
