Hi Steem. Allow me to Introduce myself

in #introduceyourself8 years ago

Hi, My name is Mack. Im currently a student and a cryptocurrency enthusiast (arent we all) and Im new to steem. I`m so excited to use this amazing platform to share my opinion, do some writing, and see what other people have to say about daily life and the world of cryptocurrency. In general, I like to learn new things, like being outdoors, listening to music, and I absolutely love fishing.

So far, I have not much idea of what i`ll be writing about. Did you read this and want to know my opinion on something? please leave me a comment. Also, What kind of advice do you have for a beginner like me?

Thanks for reading
-Mack

Welcome to steemit @macw11 (Mack). Good luck to you!!

Welcome! Best of luck to you @macw11

Hello Mack and welcome to steemit! My advice for a beginner is to be social. Post stuff you are interested in, and leave comments in other peoples posts that interest you. The quickest way to success on steemit is the same way as the quickest way in our day to day lives. Get involved with people, leave real comments, not just like "nice" or something. Show that you actually cared enough to type out something of substance.

I can almost guarantee that people will start paying attention to you, everyone likes to be showed that they aren't just putting together posts for nothing. Its the conversations that make social media platforms like this so great and fun.

Thank you. I plan on making the most of this platform and having a bit of fun along the way. thanks for the advice.

Welcome to steemit! I wrote a couple posts a while back you may enjoy about the true value of Steemit and about reputation. Hopefully they will encourage and help you.

My question for you, what do you think of STEEM as a cryptocurrency?

I think steem will only be as successful as the steemit platform and this leaves it as a large unknown. if the steemit platform grows and thrives, so might the currency. I think this is both exiting and worrying. What are some of your thoughts?

You make a good point, but from a technical perspective, this technology is (IMO) superior than many other cryptocurrencies out there. It has a built in savings system, account recovery system, 3 second block times, 10k transactions a second capacity (which will only get better based on the latest roadmap), no transaction fees, delegated proof of stake mining system which prevents wasted energy use... it just seems fantastic to me.

But then again, Beta Max was technically superior to VHS, from what I hear, and it still lost. It takes more than tech to succeed.

With busy.org and other front ends to the blockchain, I think steemit.com will be one of many in the future.

We'll see though. There's still a lot of centralized currency ownership right now. Time will tell. I'm willing to give it a few years to see what happens.

I agree. time reveals all when it comes down to the success of any cryptocurrency

Welcome to Steemit @macw11 :)

do you like permaculture solar panels and all that holistic follow

I'd be lying if I said knew anything about that. it sounds interesting, though. Where could I learn about it?

chek myblog and start following!

Welcome to Steemit @macw11!

I have a question for you. Do you currently have a favorite crypto?

I find cryptocurrencies so interesting because they are constantly changing and inovating. new technology on the blockchain is popping up everywhere now and quite frankly, ITS EXITING. If i'd have to pick one (and I'm not the most experienced just an enthusiast) I would pick ripple because it is what i first started trading. nice and simple with no mining to worry about. It holds a special place in my heart

Welcome to Steemit! :))

A warm welcome to this amazing new platform we call Steemit @macw11
My advice would be to start as you mean to go on, and that means to be as honest as you can and just be yourself.
I do not want to say too much because it is fun to discover things yourself. But trust me when I say that Steemit is like no other platform out there. It is unique and that is no bullshit. The system is built to support and promote those who have honesty and integrity. Fakes and scammers are soon vanquished.
I would recommend that you add a picture of yourself holding a card with your name and date. This is a kind of "done thing" on Steemit and as you get to know the platform you will realize why this is important.
Anyway, look forward to seeing what you post.
