A little bit about where I came from
I grew up in South Inglewood, a neighborhood in East Nashville. At the age of 14, I began selling drugs there at Litton Apartments. Litton Apartments was my stomping ground. It was crime ridden and a perfect training ground for young criminals like myself. I've done a lot that I am not proud of. I've sold drugs, robbed people and was sentence to 12 years in prison in 1998 for shooting a man with a 12 gauge. I figured it would be cool to write about some of my experiences in the form of novels. So here it is, MY BROTHER'S KEEPER.
My weekly goals here on Steemit

Thanx man. It’s taken a lot to try to leave the past behind. A lot of frustrating nights trying to figure out what to do with my life. My options are limited being a convicted felon, but I’ve placed a high value on my education
Education is the best weapon and everyone deserves a second chance, so DO NOT waste it. You can be an example to other people. You can help them to move on. You seem to be a brand new person, so show the world what you can do.
Hell yeah, thanx sabreau. I'm bout to finish up my associates in psychology and transfer to a 4 yr school. Maybe become a drug counsel, start a non-profit, write a book on addiction and social behaviors or something. We'll see how it goes.

I never shot anyone, however, I haven't lived the life of a saint either.
I've done plenty of stuff in my past I regret, but the thing I did time for in prison isn't even in my top 10.

I feel you. I’m not trying to glamorize or brag about anything violent. I regret the choices I’ve made but those choices are part of testimony, to over come and defeat the odds
