Hello hivers, people, by the way, I am Mary Joy but you can call me Joy for short. A hard-working student from the very amicable province of Cebu. Single lol! First and foremost, I am the eldest of our siblings, and my only goal in life which is to be a successful teacher someday. A loving ate of four.
LIFE WITHOUT MAMA
My life wasn't easy in the past few years because of Mama’s death but still, there is no reason to stop. Yes, it's troublesome, but remember that maybe our hearts will heal from pain sooner. Mothers are everything in this world even in a nonsense thing.
Each one of us has different experiences in life. My life wasn't that easy because of our different situations. The day of our graduation from Senior High School (SHS), is the same day and the same schedule of operation for my mother because she has a gallstone in her gallbladder. And as her first-born daughter, I want to spend my time and make every second a memorable moment for us. I'm not saying I'm losing hope but we cannot please the situation though. Let's make this story short.
After days of her operation, she finally got home then days passed I saw her struggling until she cannot deal with the pain anymore, she left us and it's almost two years of fighting every single day without our mother. Living without our superwoman isn't easy but I know she's still guiding and protecting us. Only her presence has gone but our love for her is still in our hearts and minds.
When I got home, I immediately asked where she was but I just cried, feeling the pain and imagining her here. I am also the strength and one of their inspirations too. All I have to do is to continue to be a good role model to my siblings and to make them feel that life is worthy enough to live even though our mama was gone.
Despite everything that happened, we remain strong for each other. I have a family and they are my everything, enough reason for me to not quit and still flow with life. On the day of our graduation, I only have those teachers who are always on my back when I need them the most. So, thank you for your kindness and for inspiring me to soar high love lots Mother Dear"s ♥️
Thanks to people who appreciate my braveness and for going this far for my family. If I feel down I don't act harshly instead seek God's guidance and strength to continue the life I started. I know it's okay to feel tired in life but there's not enough reason to quit or surrender.
COLLEGE LIFE
I am now in college, mainly an education student, in the first day of school I only have one friend named Jeff. Then months passed I encountered many people with the same goal as mine. Having a friend who will never betray us is a blessing, knowing that I have them on a good or bad day.
I am intensely grateful to know such an amazing person like them. I am thankful and I do admire their ability to inculcate my skills that I know I can use when I am in the next level of myself. I thank them for encouraging me to be the best and to do things that I thought I couldn't do. But with my college friends, I can learn new ideas that have expanded my knowledge and have made me integrate such specific learnings which I know I could use to modify part of myself that I know would be beneficial in the coming tomorrows.
Entering college is not that easy, because there are lots of milestones, struggles, and disappointments that you might face. I've experienced a lot of it during my first year but because of my very supportive friends and family, I surpassed all of it. And now, I'm looking forward to the new challenges that might come. It's Not easy to find a true friend but I'm so lucky that I meet my friends now, they are all amazing, they are always there during my ups and downs and they are the one who motivates me to keep fighting. But, behind all of that you need to be flexible enough and optimistic every time, put god at the centre of everything and believe in yourself that you can do it because in college you need to be strong to fight all of it (challenges, milestones, consequences). Don't just work hard work smarter instead 😊.
Thank you for the memories that we've shared and I know I will treasure them for the rest of my life. I am very pleased to be in an environment that is very safe and secure. I am also grateful that in every mistake I make, they are always there assuring me that it's fine to make mistakes as long as I'm continuously involving myself in the idea of learning. I appreciate the time they give. That made me realize that every mistake will make me excel as long as I keep on going with them.
As we all know, every person in this world has different problems encountered every day. And one of the best solutions to that problem is unwinding. Unwinding for me is somehow to overcome the problem and also it helps me to calm down and have peace of mind. When it comes to nature, I am very comfortable and glad that there are places where we can find ourselves to enjoy the rest of our lives.
Everywhere, especially on the beach is beyond priceless. It is where I can find peace and smooth air with a great view of myself. Like the sea, when there are no storms, it is more peaceful. And when there's no infirmity and disturbance there's tranquility, I think that's what makes me happy because everything follows around.
When it's peaceful, it's healthy and serene, there's modesty and other positive elements that will come to you when there's peace, it all starts with that. Escaping a day that is full of difficulty and under pressure is nothing but the best to remember. I don't know how to swim but it still feels good. I can say that the beach is a perfect place to unwind and relax.
DRIVING
As I have mentioned earlier, I do love driving. It is the only way for me to explore, crying out loud and making my noise. Driving my Honda Beat motorcycle is fun. Imagining life without that thing is boring. Yes, it's exactly nonsense. I can ride on my own as long as I have gasoline.
I can say that thing is my comforter and besides riding has no destination. Wherever I go and whatever I want, I have it and it makes me the happiest. I have many things to share but maybe it's for my next blog.
TRAVELING
Traveling to different places with my family is indeed a variant day sharing smiles on our faces, laughing with one another, and most of all sharing inspirational thoughts. can make the day more exalted. Being in our family is the safest place where we can tell secrets and even our problems. This is our first trip without our mother.
In December 2022, we went to Simala to visit Mama Mary and of course to ask for her guidance and bless our family. The church is the healing place for all wounded hearts even me. I am the kind of person who always prays and surrenders all my worries to God. Nothing is impossible if we trust His will.
I do believe those saying that there's a rainbow after the rain. Maybe, this time isn't for me but soon. The Mother Mary is located in Barangay Lindogon, Sibonga, Cebu. The best part for me is that there are parts where we can choose different colors of candles and have prayer wishes. Each candle has a different meaning.
There's a place also to buy souvenirs and I got a bracelet with a photo of Mama Mary. We went also to Argao and went back to Naga to chill for a minute and the day ended up tiring yet memorable.
THE REASON WHY I'M HERE
I am inspired by my teachers doing this. One of them is ma'am @jobeliever, my adviser in grade 9. On the other hand, @missleray opened this to me and I got inspired when she told me her experience even if I don't know how to use this platform. Also, ma'am @callmesmile posted on Facebook about this platform and I was so amazed literally while reading her post. And through this, I know it can help me develop my writing skills and be more knowledgeable.
Ma'am @callmesmile and Ma’am @naymhapz conducted a sharing experience of blogging while waiting for @indayclara and her team. I am so speechless hearing their thoughts. Well actually I am not that good at writing but I know Hive can help me get through this.
When @indayclara arrived at the venue, they started it already so they don't waste time and it was already 10 am the morning. It supposedly started at 9 but they are too far in the province. @indayclara and her team explained everything about the hive and it made me pressured but I know I can write and do it my way.
I love writing and this is the best opportunity where I can express everything that's in my mind. Everyday living is useless without learning. Thank you for reading my thoughts! Have a good day! Please welcome me with your heartfelt gratitude hivers.
