Mid-century modern design has proven itself to be almost timeless. This design and architectural style has retained it’s brilliance and allure through many generations. From the first iconic Platform Bench made by George Nelson in 1946, to the modern day chain stores like West Elm and Joybird, the mid-century modern ideals and aesthetic continue to delight and engage the conversation about the art we choose to live in every day. I will be exploring the creators, the designs and the genius of this movement.
