Hello

in #introduceyourself7 years ago

I just wanted to say hello to everyone in the Steemit community. I have been here for about a week now, uploading video content on Dtube and figuring out how everything works. Its great to see how much Dtube has developed in just a short time! My channel is about building a homestead from the very beginning, but I also have woodworking videos that I would also like to move to Dtube from You Tube eventually. I would like to see the ability to have multiple channels, or multiple category's for content creators who cover more than one subject. I understand that Dtube is a work in progress and my hat is off to all the work that has been accomplished to far, it's totally amazing.

Hi @mike802
Welcome to SteemIt and its amazing community.
Although I haven’t posted a lot about it yet (the season is still young), one of my main interests is organic gardening/farming, so you’ve got yourself a new follower :0)
Can’t wait to see more of your posts...
@simplymike

Hi simplymike: Thanks for following me, I'm following you also. Organic gardening/ farming is big on my list. We have a small garden we use now, but we are going to be clearing more land on our homestead for a much larger garden. Hopefully we will be able to open an organic market garden within a few years. At this time our homestead is about 95% wooded and we are documenting our journey from the very beginning.

Cool!
I’ve been gardening for 3 years, and last season I really got passionate about organic vegetable gardening.

I’m a bit sad to see the season start without me (I’ve just had surgery and I’m not allowed to do anything but lie down and walk a bit for the next month), but I’ll make it up by watching others do it, while trying to learn as much as I can so I can start with more knowledge and full power in April. :0)

Sorry to hear your laid up right now, but at least your looking at it from the bright side. A little down time is a really good time to learn new things that we would normally be to busy for. We always had an organic garden when I was growing up, my parents had a road side stand that generated enough money to pay the property taxes. I grew up and did not garden for 20 years and started again about 10 years ago. Many things have changed in 20 years, so many "new" methods today.

Welcome to steemit! If you are ever looking for a group, actually a community, of homesteaders/gardeners/self-sufficient like-minded people, I am the moderator of a group here... also the "un"official ambassador to the group.

I forgot to mention you in my first comment, to make sure you saw this post. Glad you found it :0)

I just joined and wow! I have a lot to learn there also. I probably wont post for a few, until I look around and get the feel for the site. I am not real tech savory and it takes a while for things to set in. LOL
