Thanks Mikey. The original motor was replaced (it was a 305) with a 350. The top half of it was rebuilt. So not much trouble, mostly minor stuff. Alternator. These old Chevys are hard on fuel but they were pretty well built. I hear that comment from many a former owner who stops nostalgically to talk when I'm at the gas pumps. And my pal is a mechanic so when the original transmission gave up, I bought a used one and he cleaned it up nice and put it in. So far so good. Pray for me. Other than that it's been mostly working on the interior to make it a home. It's a cabin on wheels now.
