INTRODUCING MYSELF

Hello everyone!!

I still cannot believe my registration here is finally approved! My friends are testaments of how excited I am to join this community ever since I heard a lot about how interesting this is plus @josealmergepegs, a friend and a fellow ME student, pushed me to really join. My curiosity fires me up so viola, here I am.

WHO I AM

I am Mildred Amit, a 21-year-old BS-Mechanical Engineering student at University of Cebu - Lapulapu and Mandaue. I sing and play the guitar and an aspiring artist. I also love to bake! I used to play soccer baseball for Engineering in Intramurals for 4 years.

WHY I'M HERE

I love documenting and sharing snippets of my life - especially art works and my baking , which are outlets of relaxation from academics I think perfectly fits for this community. I know this showcases a lot of genius talents from skilled individuals and I wanna become part of it to show you several things that I am up to like when I am in seas or in hills or when I eat (HAHAH)

I like your intro post, and I must say that it's a good template for your future posts. (more advice on that below)

As for your comment about "documenting and sharing snippets of my life," I'd suggest you follow up such snippets with many interesting and various details. That way, you will keep your readers interested.

Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.

1. Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
2. Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
3. Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
4. Be yourself.
5. Be interesting and informative.
6. Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
7. Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.

Hi @mildredamit !! Welcome to the community! Steemit has a lot of potential and so do you. Do not forget that! Steemians earn when somebody upvotes their posts or comments. While Steemit is blogging, it's all about socializing as well. You can make some friends here. Engage and try to socialize.

The best way to be rewarded is to expect nothing! Focus on your content. We call them articles and you of course as authors. If you provide good quality contents people will come to your blog and read them. Upvotes are of course the biggest bonuses..... I really liked the way you introduced yourself it was interesting description I'll surely follow you for more interesting stuffs
