Hi Steemit. It's 00:37, and after weeks of procrastinating, I'm finally going to do it. I'm going to introduce myself.
My name is Sean, I'm 22 years old, and while I have been active on steemit for a while now, I never really introduced myself. Sorry about that.
Also, it turns out I do not actually look like Mirai from Kyoukai no Kanata. So here's me!
Hey!
The idea to introduce myself and make a post like this started to grow about three weeks ago. I had been doing work for @utopian-io, but I wanted more. I wanted to talk about my interests with likeminded people, to make new friends, discover new things. I had big dreams, but also big fears.
You see, I've been depressed for a couple of years now. I'm not really active socially, in real life I mean, and most of my friends are either online or share so many interests with me that there's really no way we couldn't be friends, be it classmates or people I play video games with.
So this, in a way, is a form of therapy. It's taking a leap of faith, a jump into the deep end, and I'm both thrilled and scared. Would it be a best or a worst case scenario if this goes unnoticed? Would I be able to accept it and just move on, go back to doing things for utopian? Or would it keep nagging me in the back of my head?
I guess there's only one way to find out.
So without making this a depressing post, let's talk about something fun, like hobbies and stuff!
I'm a huge video games, anime and manga fan, I play dungeons and dragons with friends, and I'm studying to become a teacher. All of those things are things I'd love to talk more frequently about. So the only thing I can ask you, reader, now, is to talk to me! What are your interests? Do we have shared ones? Please, do tell!
