Awakening of the Self - Part 1 of The Awakening Series by EmJae Lightningbug

"The Awakening of the Self"
24 x 18 inches / oil on canvas / 2016

The first part of "The Awakening Series," which is a 7-painting series depicting the steps taken to reach enlightenment. The first step is to awaken unto one's own power, one's value and the idea that we are only limited to the extent in which we limit ourselves. Once we attain this knowledge and bring it into our daily self-talk, actions and practices can we begin a path of enlightenment, understanding and total connection.

For me, this painting was a test of how far I could take a painting. I put 120 hours of work into this piece to see how detailed, and deep I could take it. This piece was the first of its kind, and the first true piece of my style.

Thanks for looking!

Holy geometry in action - definitely likeworthy!

I think you're also right in what you wrote as well. Understanding own potential is very important.

Waiting to see more from you!

Kindest regards,
Esa

Thank you so much for the thoughtful response and wonderful compliment! Definitely the first step is the self because if you don't accept your own potential how can you accept anything or anyone else?!

Thanks so much! More art is on the way :D

oh whoa! cool! resteemed and followed! how can i convince you to put this on my website?

Thanks! Followed back :D tell me more about your site - I gave it a look. Do you host other artists' work for sale? I have canvas prints of this (at size, hand re-touched and varnished) for sale if that's what you mean [:

Yup! :) That's the whole point of Artopium. You can sign up and start listing stuff for sale right away! :D Or you can mark is as sold already, or just have it showcased. it's up to you. I take an 8% plus $1 commission when it sells: no listing fees. I use paypal to pay the artists, but i'm currently working on a way to accept litecoin too.

Good stuff! Following you right away!

Here's one of mine in return.
