IINTRODUCEYOURSELF

Hello fellow steemians, my name is Kiprotich Nathan. I come from Uganda ,in East Africa. I am a student at Uganda Christian University pursuing a bachelors degree in languages. I am majoring in French and Portuguese languages. I am thrilled to bits to join the steemit community

Personally, I have been writing articles for the local newspaper of my community in eastern Uganda; the sabiny today . I have also written manuscripts of two novels. The first novel is entitled “Le garcon de sebeiland.” I wrote it in french because of my love for the French language. “Le garcon de sebeiland.” translates as “ the boy from sebeiland “. It is my autobiography .In it I tell the story of my childhood, the cultural practices in my community including female genital mutilation, worship of spirits among many intriguing and scary experiences of my childhood.
The second manuscript that I am still working on is that of “ FREESIAS”. I wrote this particular one in english. It is set in an international school in Kampala, where the differences in the origins, color of skin, languages spoken , backgrounds of students brings a lot of trouble . It affects their interaction and relationship and builds walls between a number of them.

One miss Adelene tries her best to show her students that they shouldn’t be separated by their differences but rather they should celebrate their diversity because with their differences , they look as beautiful as the freesias . That’s where the book gets it’s title.
I was fascinated when a friend told me about steemit and I couldn’t wait to join this awesome community of fellow writers. I am going to do my best to see to it that I post the highest quality of work on this platform that can teach the world empathy and slowly change individuals and soon , we will change the world.
I will also post my manuscript of “Le garcon de sebeiland.” in bits so that you can enjoy the amazing story of my childhood in my village on the cold slopes of mountain Elgon in eastern Uganda. My heartfelt thanks to you all.

Hello naydayjupiter! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
