Thanks @heyitshass for your comment. I checked out your feed and followed as it is interesting for me. Amsterdam was the first Euro continental city I ever visited way back in 2002. It freaked me out a little at the time. Look forward to reading more about you Aussie adventure as well.

oh because there were alot of people loitering around the streets and I wasn't sure why. I sat in Dam Square and some guy came up and asked me if I wanted to work as a prostitute for him. Waking up in a hostel room that was invaded while I slept by men dressed as vikings. Weird shit like that. Remember it was my first European city to visit so I was naive. I did love the museums there. Never realised how much I loved paintings of ships until I visited Rijksmuseum.
interesting, that sounds like not really enjoyable, the loitering and ivaded hostel room, hope you will be able to visit again someday to see the real Amsterdam
