Hi, I'm Papacabeza

Hello everyone, I'm @papacabeza, new to the Steemit community. I'm not anonymous, but I hope to use this as a place to air and test ideas without personal or professional attribution. I'm a life-long learner and interested to see if I can leverage Steemit to help me with my goals — and to give back at the same time.

Here's a video intro that I recorded today at a cafe in Moscow.

Oh, BTW most everything I do is in black + white. I was a photographer as a kid in the 70s and 80s and processed my own stuff, always b+w. I just can't do color. :)

1. How is the Blockchain governed?

I want to learn about Blockchain governance. How is the Blockchain's governance handled today and how it will be developed in the future? By "governance," I don't mean "government." Governance is frequently self organized. I am seeing wide confusion about the Blockchain with wild assertions that it's unregulated. This is absolutely untrue, there are many laws and regulations from the pre-Blockchain world that apply.

I'm in Moscow this week to learn Russian (just a thing I'm doing) and at night I've spending time in Telegram chat rooms with ICO investors. I am finding many of them to be lost, confused, and getting taken advantage of. If we don't step up as a community to address these things, much more regulation will not be optional. Since the inception of the Internet, the multi-stakeholder community continues to develop open protocols processes, technical recommendations and policy. What are the equivalent mechanisms for the users of the Blockchain, and how should the framework look in the future? Will the Blockchain of tomorrow—the one our children will use—be something that's controlled by large government and private institutions or will the community rise up to provide its own protection mechanisms?

2. Health, family & Lifestyle

I was born in 1969. The bio-unit I've been using (my body) is kind of screwed up, I've got some bizarre blood disorders (a marker called HLA-B27) and autoimmune conditions going. I've worked really hard to fix then and it's been working. However, I'm now in a zone with a pretty peculiar diet and with my own it-works-for-me program. In short, I have an intense program that involves a ketogenic diet, various (natural) supplements, slow-style weight training at it's core, then barre and yoga. I figure I should start writing about it more. There are lots of good articles about keto and health, but most are focused on weight loss. For me, keto is a medical diet that's become a personal lifestyle and it's complicated.

I hope this will be interesting and fun. Thank you to everyone for teaching me what you've taught me so far and here's to officially joining your tribe. :)

Hello and welcome! That's really cool that you're learning Russian and visiting Russia. It's a beautiful language. I have some aspirations to learn it myself... but I've always had lots of aspirations; few of them have ever been realised :)

How did you learn about blockchain technology?

welcome to steemit @papacabeza, best regards..
hopefully you feel at home here. 😊
