Welcome to steemit! I suggest being authentic and open minded. Do it because you want to do it and you get something out of sharing! steemit is very diverse and you will for sure resonate with some users more than others, but just keep being authentic and sharing what you want and people will support you!
This is a great suggestion and I can start seeing a theme of sharing the content that I am most passionate about and using steemit to inspire others in going after the goal that has always seemed just out of reach.
I mentioned to someone else that I had always wanted to start a video blog to share my experiences with others in hopes that I could at least help 1 person learn something new or achieve something they never thought was possible. I think this could give me a chance to do so.
Awesome! Thank you for the feedback. I will add those to my future videos. I will admit I cannot actually cook well at all, but can share out awesome dishes that I have had. :)
Hi @pebbles491 you are very well spoken and have a great voice for video blogs. I would say keep doing it and talk about technology and other things you enjoy. I am always interested in knowing how women see the future of cryptocurrecncy.
Azfix... thank you so much for the wonderful compliments! It is great to hear your feedback and it boosts up my confidence for future video blogs!
Your suggestion is great and I will definitely share my thoughts on the future of cryptocurrency and generally how I see the various coins changing the way the world functions for the better.
Welcome to Steemit, Meli! It seems like you have a lot of interesting topics to talk about. I would suggest experimenting a bit, sharing diverse content and seeing what others love to hear about and what excites you the most.
Have fun out here! :)
Hello pebbles491, it's great to hear from you and congratulations on your new blog. My suggestion would be to try to be consistent on uploading new content, as well as to comment, and follow different people. Don't worry about not having a lot of blogging experience, because the more you post, the better you will be at it. It will take time; however, the more work you put in, the more successful you will be.
Andrewp30, thank you for the support. I am very excited to start off my blog here on Steemit. I agree with your advice and I will push myself to get better with the content I share out.
Awesome post! I hope people will take notice. I'd love to see more people doing awesome video like you did.
I'd love to see you do a short video like this one telling people about Steemit and see you share it on your other social media if you have other social media.
If you do it just make sure to let me know under this comment.
And no need to prop up Steemit beyond what you know. Just be honest like you have been in this video and it will be awesome. Maybe you might want to let us and your close friends know where you learn about Steemit...
Teamsteem! You are awesome. :) I am glad you enjoyed my video and I hope you tune into my future ones to come.
I love your suggestion. I will add that to my list of videos to create and will be sure to let you know under this comment when I have posted it. My plan is to connect the videos I upload here to my other social media accounts as well for exposure of crypto to my (future) followers. I'll be sure to mention where I found out about steemit and other cryptocurrencies.
Ooo I love this! Great suggestions and I will certainly add them to my list of next videos. Once they are uploaded, be sure to let me know which ones you would like me to continue creating. Thanks jdc! :)
Hello @pebbles491. Great start and so brave to do a vlog! I did one a couple of days ago and was very nervous putting myself out there :-(
I would be interested in seeing how your anxiety and Panic Disorder experiences have affected you and how you overcame them. I am trying to promote talk on mental health issues in this community to raise awareness so any input you have would be great
Maninayton, thank you so much for the support!:) I was also very nervous about hitting that submit button, but it is good to know that there will be people out there interested in the videos you submit and learning more about you and your interests.
I can definitely talk about my experiences with anxiety and panic disorders. There are unfortunately so many people in the world that suffer silently and are afraid to seek help. I think your mission to promote mental health awareness and discussions here is a really important cause.
I am following you to keep in touch with your content. :)
That is great you found your niche! I hope to find mine sometime soon. I will definitely follow you to sync up with a fellow steemer. :) also, thanks for the suggestion. I can try out a gaming video as well.
Hi kingtate! Thank you for the warm welcome and suggestion. I will definitely post videos on exercising. i am not a personal trainer by any means, but I can definitely show some great exercises that have really worked.
Hey! Welcome! I recently started getting panic attacks. They righteously suck! Thought that was the end for me. After 3 trips to the ER, I went to the VA and diagnosed with PTSD (bummer). I use andreas Vollenweider, for music unless I am trading, then its heavy grunge stuff to keep me focused.
But anyway, enjoy! I am fairly new as well. Look forward to seeing ya around!
Chris
Hi Chris, it is hard for me to hear someone just starting to get panic attacks. It really is a helpless feeling.. :/ you have made really good strides in finding things to keep your mind off of those panic triggers. For me that is what I started to do. I have found that when there is a goal I have set out to achieve or a new skill or topic I want to learn, my mind is then too preoccupied to start the downward spiral of negative thinking.
I have varying forms of anxiety that range from phobias all the way to what seem like random attacks.
From a high level I have gone to therapy, changed my exercise habits, found different hobbies that I am passionate about and ultimately worked on changing my mindset about how I handle myself when I feel the anxiety creeping up. It is so hard, but you have to know that you can get through it. The fact you have served for our country and made a difference in the world for our wellbeing is something that not many people can say. It takes a tremendous amount of strength and perseverance to accomplish what you have done.
There is a quote from Bob Marley that drives me to overcome my attacks that reads, "You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice." I find that telling myself I can get through it even though I am not 100% convinced of it helps me and the more and more I say or think it, the more I start to believe it. I've had to fake it until I made it in a sense.
Let's for sure keep and touch and I am looking forward to helping each other out. I will be following you now.
"Let's for sure keep and touch and I am looking forward to helping each other out. I will be following you now."
Definitely, absolutely! Likewise :)
I appreciate the uplifting comment. It is difficult and not many ppl can relate. Still trying to find the lifestyle change, but cannot figure it out... yet. Gotta get past the fear of leaving the house, in fear that being out and about and having one, or worse driving and one triggers. That is where I am at with this whole thing. It is life changing. But that which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. So I'm going with that for now, but I do like the Marley one also..
Have a great day!
That is so true and staying positive sometimes is very hard to maintain when the world seems to bring us down at every corner.
Feeling afraid to leave the house is something I can relate to. It is comforting to know you are safe in your own home and can readily access the phone or car to get the help you need once having an attack. I have turned to music, podcasts, and reading articles to constantly consume my brain with things to preoccupy my thoughts. It is a little scary how attached society now is to their phones, but at least for me it helps provide something to focus on so my thoughts do not zone in on negative things.
Personally, I have gotten super into mobile app games that pushes me to think strategically and it is available at all times as long as you have your phone with you. Even a mindless candy crush has helped me out of countless anxiety attacks I have had.
Ha! Candy Crush!!! Yep I've used it before to keep the mind occupied while idle... I find that down time is when the attacks happen the most. My mom (who has advanced stage dementia) has been in a 24 hr facility recovering from a fall about 2 months ago. I needlessly say, my days have been significantly quiet since then with the exception of my 3 year old. My girlfriend, (also his mom) recently got laid off, so that compounding the downtime. I don't feel stressed of her losing her job... ( I am an options trader, a good one at that). So I think the spare time to think about stuff from the military prob are starting to creep out little by little. So when she gets out, and my g/f will stop driving me nuts (lol) all should fall back into place.
I have been doing a lot of screen casting, sharing my knowledge about the markets, TA, (technical analysis) and such. I love to help others, and I have been called an earth angel not to omit I have the traits, both good and bad. that said, have a great wknd!!! going to do some laundry.
Be Well
Chris
hi and welcome pebbles491 I like almos all you mention in this post the video is ok I will follow you because I love food, tech, gadgets, gaming arts and music oh and photogras and travel and all that so have fun and be ready to have a lot of friends in a short time! take care and have fun!
Thanks gabrielmrpr! I appreciate the support and it is awesome we have a lot of the same interests. I will be sure to follow you as well and make sure to let me know which posts you want more of once I start producing the various content.
Welcome to steemit ,
I m also new to steemit , your post actually admire me lots and thank you so much for giving me idea regarding what kind of post should i upload for the steemians , can you help me or guide me regarding what kind of Content should i upload to steemit so i can grow in this Blog field as i m new to this.
Love to get & hear your suggestion to improve my self in this field.
Hi manojpatel! It is so great and I feel so happy that I have inspired you to start posting your own content. Since I am new as well, I would recommend looking at the comments other folks have given in terms of tips and suggestions.
Overall to summarize some of the first tips I would recommend are:
Post on things you are passionate about and have your own personal experience in.
You can create a post asking people for the type of content that they are interested in seeing.
Share your interests and types of videos that you could create to give folks options of the content that you could potentially create.
I think these are good starting points that I have personally taken. Definitely keep in touch with what you end up doing. I will follow you! :)
Greetings pebbles491. i would love to read more about a ketogenic diet as I just started on one myself a couple of months ago and could use some tips. Also exercise routines are great as I'm always looking for more variety and to mix up my daily exercise routines as i'm told old to spar now (haha) and my body can't take it anymore as I used to train in martial arts daily for my exercise but have to evolve to more jujitsu now as its easier on the body that standup striking!
Thank you for the comment. I can definitely share some of the resources that I have used around following the ketogenic diet and some of the food options I have as my go-to's. One of the biggest challenges that I have with Keto is finding enough fat to eat! (Also, staying away from carbs) I feel like almost everything has carbs in it.
Some other folks have requested exercise routine videos as well so be on the lookout for those.
Thank you so much for following and I love forward to our future conversations around Keto in the future. :)
yes, i also find staying away from carbs difficult at times, but i give myself a cheat day about once every two weeks, like eating pizza or pasta and i don't feel that it really harms the mission of a keto diet. do you give yourself cheat days too?
how long have you been doing the keto diet again? I'm going on about six weeks now and I definitely see a big change in my stomach. I don't really care to get a rock hard six pack but I just want a flat stomach, and even with all the running in the world, i never saw much progress. however, with 6 weeks on the keto diet, I have seen a LOT of progress. how about you?
I have only been doing keto for a month now. I have lost 10 pounds and it is absolutely incredible. I feel really good and I lost it all in my stomach. It has been really motivating and has gotten me into a stricter exercise routine.
The only problem is that it is not sustainable for me longterm. Almost everything has carbs in it. It has been so difficult to focus on fat intake and low protein consumption.
How have you been able to keep yourself going for 6 months?
Fantastic article, thank you! Looking forward to some reviews on board games.
I just upvoted you. I'm also new here. Please follow me @rbfromsa for some awesome recipes and good luck with steem.
Awesome! Thank you so much for your great feedback and suggestion. Be on the lookout for my video reviews and let me know if you have ever played those board games or recently tried it out from my review.
I have followed you as well to keep in the loop for awesome recipes. You can never have enough of them. :) Good luck to you as well.
I have a few up already, I'm a newbie to cryptocurrencies so I'm very interested in that right now. Did one on chemtrails, another on the death of YouTube and the beauty of Steemit. I'll put up some pics from time to time as well, so I'm really all over the board, but my priority is freedom, clean air/food/water, and ridding ourselves from the slave masters that pose as "officials" and "politicians"!

Ha! Candy Crush!!! Yep I've used it before to keep the mind occupied while idle... I find that down time is when the attacks happen the most.
