I came across Steamit in my search to do something other than just being a mum. So I thought I would introduce myself to you all.
I am the wife of Mr Piggy. We have been married for 15 years and have worked hard to have a really good marriage. We really are in love which makes life easier when we go through hard times. I have had 12 pregnancies during that 15 years and have 9 children. Ranging from 14 years to 1 week. I love being the mum of these little people but sometimes it is hard.
We have our own property that we are trying to make self sufficient. 75 acres so it is a fair bit of land. We currently have Sheep and horses. My son has some chooks that he shows but we are going to be getting some laying hens to help with out endless grocery bill. Our vege garden is next on the list to be tackled it is so overgrown.
I home school my children which is great and gives us flexibility with our lives. Sometimes I do find the high school maths a bit of a challenge. Really Algebra is one of my least favourite subjects as it confuses me. My kids seem to have a good mind for it however inspite of me not being able to fully get it.
Mr Piggy works from home. He is trading Crypto and selling on Ebay. He is doing quiet well. When he first discovered crypto he was a tad overwhelmed but he now is enjoying the different coins and building quiet a portfolio. As to Ebay he is quickly seeing it as a side issue to crypto. I hope that in the future this investment of time and money will pay off for our family. We try to have set times so that he still has time with the family but as you can imagine that is a work in progress.
So that is just a bit about me and my family. I hope to be able to share about life parenting and my farming adventures.
Welcome to Steemit @piggypoeer. Quite an interesting introduction you have here I must say. Your life is so so different from us city folks and I mean in a much much better way. Closer to mother nature is way more fun :)
Thank you. Yes our life is very different. Sometimes I miss being so close to things but now I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Oh what beautiful horses! I'm an unschooling mom of three aged 10, 15, and 17. I write sometimes about parenting but also fiction and humor. It must be so much work, but also so rewarding to tend all that land (AND all those kiddies lol). I hope you enjoy your time here :)
Just a hint from one newbie to another: Try to use the #minnowsunite. This will get your work in front of other minnows dedicated to helping the community make it to the next level, as well as some more established folks who are generously working to help us along.
Also, many newbies are having trouble understanding the importance of and ways of accumulating SP. Please do yourself a favor and READ THIS. Failure to understand this process can lead to a sort of shut down of your account's capabilities to participate.
