RE: Maybe I'll get lucky in steemit.

think it should be okay to use your friend's account to make this introduction.Hi @isabrina! It sounds like you have quite a story. If you want this post to do especially well, have your friend take a photo of you holding a piece of paper that has the date, your handle and "Steemit" written on it. It tells everyone here that you are who you say you are. I

Also consider adding a second paragraph that tells us more about what your days are like and what you enjoy doing. Hobbies, interests, etc. Glad to have you aboard!

Do we really need to hold a piece of paper with the date and the other things to introduce ourselves here on Steemit? I hate photos of myself and then to actually hold a piece of paper with the information just to verify that I am real, seems a little way out for me.

You definitely do not have to. I didn't in my introduction, either for exactly the same reasons. Your post will do better if you do, though. Before people around here are familiar with you as a person, some will think "maybe I won't upvote him because he could be a robot trying to fool me." The "validation" photo is your way to prove you are who you say. But you don't have to do it.

@pulpably - thank you for the reply. I have not even done an introduceyourself post, but maybe it is time if I want to stay here, and I want to.

I notice some people do very well without even making an introductory post. They can help, though.
