Hello again
Hello Steemit community! I welcome myself to this amazing platform of creative growth. I tried posting an introductory post last time but from my friends' advice (@jonelq and @wilynethcantong), I had to make a new one, one that fits what this platform “requires”. So here goes the second shot.
I am Queenie, a 21-year old with big dreams and adventures in mind. I was born and raised in Philippines. I can speak Filipino, English, and Bahasa Indonesia. I’m the 2nd of 3 daughters and I'm a Pisces, born on the 5th of March. There are a few things I'd love to share about myself.
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science in a state university. Those were the best 4 years of my life so far and the most humbling experiences of my life were in college. Those were the days that I would starve myself just to finish my paper on time, skip my sleep just to study for my exams, and those were the days that I would never be absent nor tardy. It shaped the discipline that I have now and my work ethics including my regard to the quality of my work.
I am now an international student under a scholarship, taking up my Master's in Government Affairs and Administration. I am studying 1438 miles far from Philippines. The adjustment that one has to go through just to study abroad is not something that I was prepared for. I will soon post about tips on how to adjust as a foreign student in an unfamiliar country, with a very different language.
I love travelling! So far 2017 held the best travels of my lifetime. I was able to embark on solo travels for very engaging academic endeavors. I combine travelling with an academic activity I plan to attend. I recently attended a conference in Australia and an MUN event in Malaysia. Anything that marries travel and learning, I'm sold! I'll be posting some of my travels and some tips on how to save less and enjoy more.
I am an avid reader. I've made a small library of my own..books that have changed my life, books that have appealed even on the bleak and dull nights of school breaks. Young adult, Sci-fi, romance, self-help, to religious.. name it. I don't judge. I am a fan of all. I will soon write about the books I recommend and my reviews on very special novels that have caught my heart.
I am a fan of a lot of TV series and I'd love to share my theories on the shows that I watch. I am fan of The Walking Dead since it first aired and also of Game of Thrones. I never miss an episode of Victoria, The Crown and The Good Doctor. And after many years, I am still not over the Blair Chuck ship of Gossipgirl and I can't even give up on Harry and Hermione. Tell me if you feel the same.
I'm really ecstatic on starting my own blog on steemit. I hope I'd be able to find more inspiration to pick a pen, sip my coffee, and scribble words for y'all to read. May our inks be bold enough for the world to read and may our words be clear enough to echo through centuries. More power to us all.
