This is our dog Pixie.
Pixie has been with me now for almost 11 years. She's a rescue; so, we don't know exactly how old she is, but we estimate she's around 11 1/2. Pixie has a huge personality and is quite content with her life as an only dog.
Her pastimes have included squeaking squeaky toys, tearing said squeaky toys to shreds in order to find the source of the squeak, and charming her way into treats.
As an elderly and refined lady, she has forsaken the practice of relieving toys of their squeakers but still enjoys a good chew every now and then. She continues to charm her way into treats.
Sleeping is priority number one. Food is priority number two.
And this is the look you get when you deny her either one.
She hasn't quite figured out why we allow other dogs to roam around her kingdom (we live in a very dog friendly apartment complex), but she's willing to let it slide if treat are involved.
Pets are an absolute must - especially the ears. They itch. A lot.
Lastly, she's been the best companion. We couldn't have asked for one better!
Welcome, she is a cutie! My dogs have all proven to be my best companions.

Awesome. Thank you for the useful info.
Pixie seems like a great pet. Thank you for sharing. If we ever get a dog I hope it is as good as yours. We are still thinking about it.
I can't lie; we got super lucky with her. She doesn't chew on things that don't belong to her, and she doesn't bark excessively. She is a little more temperamental in her old age, but she's still the best. If you do decide to get a dog, I think an introduction on Steemit is a must!
