Hello! I am MarQ, and I am and old man who likes to poke peoples brains to find answers to life's Questions...
Three exciting initiatives on Hive in the last week and they all revolve around Questions:
- The announcement of the AskHive community by @acidyo
- The announcement of the AskMe community by @hiveqa
- The announcement of the @quello app by @tobias-g
I'm old, but I'm not stupid. These announcement are BULLISH for Hive!
Grandpa wants to join in the fun.
As I'm bored with time from retirement and stuck at home drinking Corona Extra I decided I'm going to bore you all by asking The Questions.
Yes, I am MarQ and I ask The Questions.
Here's my plan
- I will post Questions in the AskHive community to show Hive my Question skills. They will be thought-provoking or light-hearted, but they will be high-quality and fun. I want AskHive to have meaningful discussions in the comment section and to provide an example of what good Questions are.
- I will ask Questions below Ask Me Anything posts in the AskMe community. I want people to feel seen and have something to answer while they are feeling vulnerable waiting for someone to notice them.
- I will post Questions on @quello once it's launched to show @quello can be better than Musing ever was. Musing (remember?) was filled with lame questions and grandpa didn't like it. The aim is that it should be fun to post and engage on @quello without expecting the big upvotes that were almost guaranteed on Musing.
I will take a few weeks to create a schedule for the above three goals but I will aim for a schedule that provides consistency without being annoying by posting too much. I will make use of @peakd's scheduling options to spread the questions throughout different timezones so that as many people as possible will feel invited to join the fun.
And other noteworthy bits
I will do 100% power up on my posts. The earned Hive Power will go 100% towards curating answers below the posts. This will start out as low votes that will just serve to get the better answers on top, but as this account grows it will spread rewards from this project to engaging users.
If grandpa becomes a hit on Hive and the price stays low I might even spend some of my pension funds on powering up the account.
My first question to you: do you want to help?
- Do you have a question that you don't want to post from your own account? Then send @questionmarq a memo with your question. If your question is picked you will receive 80% of the post payout through beneficiaries set on @peakd. If for whatever reason I do not pick your question I will send back the HIVE you send with the Memo. Note: this will NOT guarantee anonymity but it will help you ask questions more freely without using up autovotes and/or messing with your carefully crafted feed and/or having to create a new account.
- Do you like the initiative and do you want to promote engagement on Hive? You can delegate some funds, 100% of this accounts upvotes go towards comment rewards.
But FIRST I will browse through some of my old stuffy notebooks to select the best questions for all of you...
--- Sincerely,
--- MarQ
Great to see you're looking forward to using Quello.
100% agree, before we look for any delegation or any type of curation we want to make sure we have the features to encourage valuable and engaging content. Based on experience with other platforms I'm sure there will be some bumps in the road, but you've got to aim for something 👍
Look forward to your feedback when we go live 😃
I will make sure I provide feedback once I can start using the app! I'm excited about the opportunities of an app like Quello and I hope in my own way I can support the project and help grow it into something that attracts new users.
Good luck on the launch!
Hi @questionmarq,
