Wow @underwaterwoman. I saw your comment on my 'Scuba Scribe Review: Jago - A Life Underwater' post and moseyed on over to see, who is this 'underwaterwoman'? I love love love what you are doing! What you do, highlighting marine conservation issues is a subject extremely close to my heart as well. I die a little inside when I think about the children of tomorrow not being able to see the wonders of a coral reef because of bleaching, or even just go swimming in open water rivers, lakes or seas because of pollution.
I can't remember the last time I went scuba diving and didn't come back with my BCD's pockets full of plastic. I haven't been able to get out diving in just over 10 months now and I'm trying to make up for it by writing my scuba scribe poems, articles etc on steemit 😉 but it's just not the same without the rocking ache of the ocean swell to well up the poetic words, well maybe I can still get some tidal rhymes flowing. I would love to do a steemit collaboration with you if you wanted? Maybe we could respond to some of your photography with poetry, in some way? Like choose an ocean creature each, and try to frame a conversation issues through imagery linked to the creature. A verse a piece, just an idea, maybe you have some yourself? Anyway, I will drop a link to one of my better ocean related poems below so you can see what they're like. This is a poem I wrote, trying to imagine the journey of the whale shark from its perspective. I'm not sure how successful it was in that regard but I think it is a good effort:

I'm thrilled to see your note here. Thanks for taking the time to write out all your thoughts and well wishes. I think all of the scuba diving community is particular close to the loses we're experiencing in the oceans, but the more we can bring back images and spreaad messages of what we are seeing, the more hearts and minds we can hopefully change in time. Keep it up and stay in touch!
