steemitboard update 6, describes redfish as steemians who have less than a million (<1 million) vests. These number of vests (1 million) correspond to about 500 steem power (SP). So, this project is looking to support about 41 thousand (41,037) registered steemit members in this category. There are five categories of steemit membership ranging from redfish to whales. The Problem
Red fish are faced with a myriad of challenges in the steemit community. The main one being that, more often than not, it is difficult for their content to the seen, howbeit good. This is because of the little steem power, coupled with low reputation that they have as newbies.
Project Vision
The vision of redfish pillar project is simple - to support all redfish become minnows faster.

Some Goals of Redfish Pillar Project
- To curate and upvote good content of redfish
- To resteem content deserving of resteem
- To promote content of a redfish nominated by members
- To engage redfish in weekly contests as determined by eligible members
- To allow for weekly question and answer (ask me anything (AMA)) session regarding steemit
- To celebrate steemit achievements of redfish (e.g milestone (100, 200, 300, 400, 500 followers), biological birthdays, steemit birthdays (1,2,3 months), first payout, etc.
- To participate in Mission to Minnow (MTM) projects
- To partially sponsor a redfish to SteemFest (SteemFest 2 for 2017)
Eligibility
To be eligible and become a beneficiary of the redfish pillar project, the following criteria MUST be met
- The Steemian must have less than 1 million vests/ 500 SP
- The Steemian will have less than 500 followers
- The Steemian will follow and resteem posts of redfish pillar project
- The Steemian will use the tag redfishpillar
- Content MUST BE ORIGINAL. All sources (text, photographs and videos) should be properly cited & linked.
Note: It would be good for members to contribute an amount of steem which will be used to power up the account. Already, the account has about 200 SP, donated by @maryfavour, @bat-junior and @steve1122.
